They traded away T-Mac and yet they have improved their team, in my opinion. They got Steve Francis, Kelvin Cato and Cuttino Mobley in the T-Mac trade and have recently signed Hedo Turkoglu and acquired Tony Battie from the Cavaliers. They had a very succesful draft knabbing phenom Dwight Howard and St. Joseph's guard Jameer Nelson. Both those guys are major building-blocks for this new, young, team.

Without T-Mac, the Magic may have actually improved.

I agree that they improved. They did get rid of T-Mac, but they got good quality help that will help them now.
