OK, I want to know what everyone thinks of this years rookie QB's. I love this years group, except for a few.
Philip Rivers is the best QB in this years group and one of the best players in the draft period. He is the savior of the Chargers. He is a big guy, with awesome strength and showed great accuracy in the Senior Bowl. (TD to Ernest Wilford, just to name 1 great pass). I see an outstanding career for this guy.
Ben Roethlisberger- Another tall guy with great strength. I love to watch this guy play football and happy he fell to the steelers because he has a good coach and recievers to throw to. All this he player in te he MAC bullshit is just that, bullshit. Chad Pennington and Byron Leftwitch also came from the MAC and Pennington, if he can shake off injuries, will be a great QB and Byron proved he is a rocket ready to explode on the NFL. Tommy Maddux gets benched early and Roethlisberger takes over and leads the team to the playoffs in a weak conference.
Both of these guys will have better careers then Eli Manning, i need my dad to make all of my decisions, i want to play in New York so everyone can see my ass get handed to me every week.
Other notables- JP Losman- cant wait until Bledsoe retires (only because the time has just run out on his great career, maybe having a young rookie will push him though.) Buffalo will be happy they gave up their 1st round pick next year for Losman, it will be worth it.
Matt Schuab- I include him because i am a UVA fan and watched him play ween in and week out. Lots of people compare him to Brett Farve in a sense that Schuab wont run and could be a great pocket passer and just has the Brett Farve form, of course he will never reach Farve status in the NFL. He does have the advantage of being the #2 behind Michael Vick, he just has to compete with NFL career backup journymen.
Thats my opinion of these guys and i cant wait until Pre-season to watch them. NFL Network is the greatest channel ever created!!!!!!!!!!
