Look at them now. My home town team (led by my boy Matt Lawton) are 3 games back of the Twins and face the Twins 13 more times before seasons end. Best hittin in AL and pretty good ERA. Does anyone else think they have a chance?

They surely have a shot at the division, and if not, the wild card. Belliard hit like no one thought he would, and their pitching has only gotten better. The Twins, who just lost two of three to the Mariners, could be showing signs of slipping. :embarrase
EDIT: Just heard they released Alex Escobar... who needs him anyway?

That's my friend's hero. O well. Anyway I think they'll make it and not by much. Ronnie was a big pick up 2.

I am rooting for the Indians as well, always nice to see some new blood in the playoffs that hasnt been there for a lil while. You might as well give Travis Hafner the MVP for the team, that offense is doing just flat out amazing, a lot of young guys leading the way. Pitching is another story, but as long as CC is leading the way I think this team has a good chance. I like the Twins though to take the division, Radke is doing well, Santana is just flat out unstoppable, not that great of an offensive season but this team is still the favorite to win the central.

God, does everyone forget that the Indians had a semi-Atlanta Braves run during the '90s? It's not like they haven't been to the playoffs in 20-years or anything.

The Indians won today, moving within 1 game of the leading Minnesota Twins. But something more important happened today. Indian fan and mod here, Mark Otterson (gmarbalest27) passed on. I close this thread in honor of his passing.
