Packers trade Mike McKenzie to Saints
Green Bay, WI, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Defensive back Mike McKenzie of Green Bay was traded Monday to the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints gave up a second-round pick in 2005 and third-string quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan for McKenzie and a future draft choice.
McKenzie, a former all-pro, had been in a contract dispute with the Packers and missed all of training camp before ending his holdout in mid-September. When he returned, he played in only one game and sustained a hamstring injury.
McKenzie was a third-round draft pick by the Packers in 1999 out of Memphis.
The 6-foot, 194-pounder started 67 of 69 career games at left cornerback and recorded 291 tackles (246 solo), 15 interceptions, one sack and one fumble recovery. He made six pass interceptions as a rookie.

Well, some would say the Packers could have gotten a lot more for McKenzie, but anyone is better than Doug Pederson as a backup.

Well, the trade should improve the Saint's a little bit on Defense. As for the Packers, I will have to wait and see O'Sullivan play before I pass judgment. :)

Same here - I like McKenzie, but you never know about O'Sully.

see I am glad we got sullivan since pederson might be done for year, or even career, but i still like nall, that guy has a arm he deserves the #2 spot. But hey we got a #2 pick so I am really happy, I dont care how good mike is, I am glad he is gone

If I were in the NFL, I would just hank McKenzie by his braids and toss him. *nod*

I don't know. There was another QB you guys had this year but u let him go (even if he wouldn't play for another 3 years) so what's so reassurin about this. McKenzie is a good CB and deserves more credit. Admit it, if you were in his shoes u'd be tryin to get every last cent you could.

Honestly I hate this move. I know the guy had to go but at least get something for the guy. As for Couch the guy sucked up preseason, they could go back out and get him if needed but their are other teams that needed a QB that passed Couch up so you have to think not many teams think much about him either. I dont think this new QB is going to be much but a back up in the future. As for the second pick I can only hope that pick can come early in the second round :) . Not the best move for the Packers but they needed to it. I am not very happy right now with Sherman :/

Sherman is a horrible GM. That's why you don't have your coach as your GM also.

Yeah look at the Dolphins :D .
About Couch, yea he sucks right now, but look at Drew Brees. He sucked before this year and look now. The teams 3-2 and not all because of LT.

I would say the Chargers success this year is because the team is playing as a hole, and are not just relying on LT to do everything for them. I mean, he didn't play in the 2nd half yesterday, and had over 100 yards on 17 carries. That shows there's more to this team than LT this year. *banana*
As for Wannstedt, I feel bad for him. He's gonna get canned at the end of the season, but we all know he isn't the problem, it's his God damned QBs. They can't throw, or read coverage, or make smart decisions with the football (see Brian Simmons INT two weeks ago). They need to draft a QB, or trade for a disgruntled QB, such as Brad Johnson.

Well how would u get most those yards without runnin? Right
Well they could have picked up that one guy that backs up for Rich Gannon in Oakland. Or even before that, that one guy who was MVP and went to the Super Bowl.

Yeah, LT is part of that team's success, but this year they aren't a one-trick pony.

I didn't say he wasn't now did I? I said he wasn't all of it, Brees has helped alot on offense.
