For the most part, he's a terrible play-caller, but I would say that yesterday that honor went to Mr. Holmgren.

Yeah he's a terrible coach, actually.
EDIT: Should clarify, I mean Martz is.

No, he just played conservitavely. He figured he was up 17 with 5 minutes left, so he shouldn't give up the big plays.
Martz was jumping around all game after a decent play, which goes to show that he is a bad play caller and gets lucky and plays it off like he's a good coach. *blush*

With around 2:35 remaining in the game, Holmgren was throwing the ball. He could've killed nearly the entire clock off.

But at that point St. Louis was coming back, and killing half of the clock would have left Martz with plenty of time to call a few hail mary's and hope for the best.

Yeah, but the probability of hail maries actually working are pretty slim, and with a secondary as good as Seattle's (though you wouldn't know it in the late 4th quarter ;)), they would be looking for Bruce or Holt, who would be quadruple-covered. *nod*

...Well then Martz would magically call a run play with Steven Jackson and catch Seattle totally off guard and score the touchdown. ;)
Bottom line is that Shaun McDonald got open on a play the Bierria tripped up on, and Martz got to dance on the sidelines.

Martz is a fool. He should take up dancing. He's much better at that than coaching in the NFL. *nod*
Martz doesn't even know where the game clock is.
