They lead the NFL in yards per game... by 55 yards each game over Indianapolis.
They lead the NFL in passing yards per game... by 60 yards per game over GB.
Their rushing game has been middle of the pack, but they are without their starting RB. Michael Bennett has not played all year. Onterrio Smith has run for 4.7 YPC, and caught 13 passes for 223 yards. Then he gets suspended for 4 games, Moe Williams is hurt, so they plug in rookie and 4th stringer Mewelde Moore. All he does is run for 90 yards, catch like 12 passes for about 90 yards, and really play a great game. The fourth stringer.
The Recievers and Tight Ends are playing great. Moss is getting double and triple teamed on every play, but after 4 games he has 24 catches, 305 yards, and 7 touchdowns. He's on pace for 28 this year. Marcus Robinson, Nate Burleson, and Kelly Campbell have also been solid. Jermaine Wiggins caught I think 10 passes against Philly, he gets hurt, they plug in Richard Owens. He has 8 catches already.
Daunte has been the MVP of the league thus far. Completing 72.7% of his passes, in 4 games he has thrown for over 1300 yards with 13 TD and 1 INT. Plus he has run for 109 yards and a TD.
All of this with two other guys hurt on the offense. RT Mike Rosenthal is done for the year, and if you have happened to see how Nat Dorsey and Adam Haayer have played this year replacing him, you can tell Rosenthal was a big loss. Jim Kleinsasser is also out for the year. He was, IMO, the best blocking FB/TE in the NFL. Again, a big loss from a blocking standpoiint.
Oh yeah, they're averaging 28.0 points per game. Best offense in the NFL, not only the starters, but the depth of the offense (especially at RB) is awesome to see.
