View Full Version : Jerry Rice Linked to Seahawks
I was watching PTI yesterday and Mike and Tony were doing the big finish, when Tony asked Mike if Rice going to the Seahawks is a good move. Mike said yes because he can catch. This morning, I read in the paper that this is only premature and the Seahawks are likely holding back in case of a release as other teams are reportedly doing.
If Rice does end up in a Hawks uni, this would make the two greatest receivers of all time had played for the Seahawks. Although I'd like for it to happen, it likely won't.

wow, Rice to the Hawks? lol
would be pretty cool to see
though technically, Jeff, Largent was 3rd best WR ever, Lance Alworth will always be #2

This would be a great thing for Koren and Djack to learn from. :)

Carter's good, but not near a great. Steve Largent is a great.

If your talking stats, the top three WR of all time are (in order) Rice, Chris Carter, and Tim Brown.

Well, regarding Rice, even the Falcons have popped up in trade rumours, but it is extremely unlikely he will end up in a Falcons uni by the end of the week, as Detroit looks to be his likliest destination. I would love to see Jerry in a Falcons jersey, because he knows the West Coast Offense well, and could help teach it to Vick. It looks like, however, that the Lions may send Charles Rogers or Tai Streets plus an undisclosed draft pick for Rice.

If the Lions would send Charles Rogers or Tai Streets and a draft pick for Rice they would become the sumbest organization in sports.

Does this have something to do with the fact that you are a Seahawks fan? :P

Well, as a raiders fan, I would like to see Rogers, if he didn't get injured every year. I know that Tai Streets is shit from seeing him as a niner. The draft pick would be nice.

That trade seems a little lopsided; A future star (if healthy) and a decent veteran for a guy who will only play one and a half more years?
Koren Robinson has reportedly been suspended for 4 games for violating the substance abuse policy and the Raiders told reporters that the Seahawks have called in recent days about Rice's availability.

Good one sam. *lol*
Rice is averaging about one catch in each of his games as a Seahawk with one drop.
