According to the FAN 590 in Toronto, there have been several rumours swirrling around that the Raptors are going to trade Vince Carter AND Jalen Rose to the Jail Blazers for Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Nick Van Exel.

First of all, Van Exel is a PG, and Rafer is doing quite fine at PG. Next, Chris Bosh is the PF, and he's doing fine as well, what the **** are you thinking Babcock? If you're going to trade Vince and Jalen, get some betters players for them and ones that won't sit on the bench. Fortunately, the Blazers don't want to give up Shareef and Van Ugly, so now they are offering the Raptors Derek Anderson. *rollyeyes

Seriously, he should have traded for Ray Allen and Vladimir Radmanovic when he had the chance. *mad*

No he shouldn't have. This would have benefited Toronto and the Sonics wouldn't be 8-1, they'd be 1-8.

I don't want them to do this trade with the Jail Blazers because it would hurt the Sonics chances of beating them when they play each other. Duh!!!

hey another person that calls them the jail blazers! I will always call them that no matter what team they have lol, but anyway I think the raptors would actually benefit from that, wait what the heck am I talking about, kinda looks like the jail blazers get the edge

The only thing that would benefit the Raptors in this trade is the economics. Yes they save money, but they only save about $5 million. Plus, paying what Van Exel and Abdur-Rahim make to sit on the bench is ridiculous.

Trust me, the Raptors don't need the money. They missed out on both Magloire and Nash, even when they had enough cash.
