Here's the press release making the name official, check this thread Monday to check for the logo as I will post it since I am eagerly anticipating it. ;)

If I remember right the Texas Rangers still have the rights to the name Senators.

I kinda like it. It has that old time baseball look to it so it's pretty cool.

I find it hard to believe those are the hat logos. Those are the hat logos the Senators used, I believe the Rangers still have the rights to the name and logos. Not too mention how horribly photoshopped the hats are :P

Also, I think that's only a preliminary design. On the Nationals' website, they have this interlocking DC logo in their banner. It's the same font as the Angels' hat logo, minus the pointy things. Something tells me that will end up being the logo, somehow.

well i think the hat design, photoshopped or not, is pretty cool but extremely basic. that dc is nice but i think its just too simple

Maybe the TH isn't somebody's initials but rather the abbreviation for fifth (5th). Just a thought, don't know what significance that would have.
