Vote on if you think it should be allowed in or not. Then, explain your answer. *nod*

nope, I think that there are to many calls that could go one way or the other, and it would screw up the games, and make fans angry, so no it is bad idea....whats you idea on this issue?

There would have to be a limit to times it would be used in a game and a penalty if the challenge failed.

But think about the different angles it could give. I can't tell you how many times I'm watching a ballgame and there's a controversial call and I scream HE'S OUT! and then I see it several more times from different angles, and you just say, Oh, maybe he was safe. The ump doesn't get all those angles. It's giving the umps a second chance to do the right thing. *banana*

All this would do is undermine the umpires. I'd only use it on fair/foul home runs.

I think baseball is one of the only sports that has never really had any major changes in its whole history really. Baseball is played the same way today as it was when it was first created. So I think they should not get replay, and yes umps will make bad calls from time to time, but I just don't think replay is necessary

I don't remember this completely but I remember something in the ALCS this year where there were two calls that were really bad and the Yankees would've won the game if they were called correctly. I don't remember though, I tried to block out this whole season.

Well, we have black players now.
That's different. And QuesTec, and lighting so they can play at night.

While we're on the subject of QuesTec....
Get rid of it.

Yes, I agree, It just lowers the umpires self esteem.
Example: If you get a bad grade on a test and you have to go through and see everything you did wrong, your thinking to yourself, wow, how did I get that one wrong, your definately not saying, well jeepers, im sure glad i saw all my mistakes now!

If therewas then only the officials would be allowed to decide if theyw ant to use it or not

I am an umpire. It wouldn't be as fun. It is a lot better just making a judgement call and the games would move along like a snail anyway.

You umpire in the majors? Where one bad call can cost someone money (probably not, but MAYBE)

No it's a bad idea, that would be insane. It would take too much time out of the game and umpires are trying to get things moving faster even with no replay.

I'd like to see it used for fan interference/questionable Homeruns, or hits/ or questionable catches. Other then that, i dont see a need.

Defenitley not. I think that the players and coaches would take advantage of it and they would challenge like every single play that went wrong for them (and there are normally alot of those) and the games would take a reeeeaaally long time!

If he did then I could own Microsoft right now.
Anyway, if were gonna have instant replay, why not just make robot umpires so they can replay it themselves and have lights on the top for out and safe. This is a horrible idea.

I said no because of a few reasons.
1) Its the umpires job to make the calls so they are the final word.
2) It would take away so much from the game and piss people off one way or another.
3) It would take away from the sport as a whole. Baseball was not meant to have instant replay. EVER.

You could have said the same thing when the NFL instituted the replay. Everyone was against it, but since then, it's actually bettered the game tremendously.

They should do this but like in the NFL, they should only give you 2 challenges a game. And if the first one fails, then they should lose the second one as a penalty.

I think that it shouldnt be put in period. Its the umpires job to make the calls, they make them, deal with it. Its how baseball has always been played and if replay comes in then the classic good ole' baseball will be gone forever.
