What players, whether it be minor leagues or major leagues, do you actually personally know. Please dont lie.
I know Chad Mulholland from the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system. He was drafted in the 8th round I believe. He's a pitcher with some major gas, he can hit 96 but he is rehabbing a shoulder problem and the doctors said he could possibly pick up another mph or 2. Hes on the Auburn team of the Blue Jays system. He is a trainer at the baseball place I go to called Future Swings, hes the pitching coach/trainer/whatever you want to call it. I was talkin to him the other day and he said that for pitchers they had them line up from about 30 feet and hit a rag ball as hard as they could to get their reaction up. He leaves for spring training February 1st. Hes a pretty cool guy.

if you include former players then my grandfather would work, he pitched for the Cubs in the early 50's but his career was cut short because of bad knees and he was drafted into the Korean War with a bunch of other prospects, wars really sucked for young athletes, i dont think i know any other players personally

The only player I probably come close to knowing is David DeJesus of the Kansas City Royals
It is my teachers, son's best friend who went to Rutgers (I live in NJ) and lived in a town near mine. That's as close as I get though.

As a season ticket holder to the Seadog "AA team for the sox" i get to know alot of the players. However theres a few that i get along and have hung out with in public with. SP Charlie Zink, SP Jerome Gamble, 3B Mike O'Keefe.
My Cousin, Eric Cavers was drafted by the Astros in the 10th round this past June. I also know a few no namers in the major leagues.

joe randa- 3B kansas city- well he went to my high school back in 1988, and he came to talk to us and stuff, but my neighbor went to school with him, and they were good friends, and they still are. well he knew joe was in town so he invited him over for a few beers, and some pool, and I am good friends with my neighbors son so I was over when joe came, it was so cool he showed us some baseball fielding tips, and he asked if he could see us play, since I live right by a park it was nice cause we got to go in the field, and we gave him a glove and he was hitting them to us, I got a few autos, and so did my friend. I wish he came over again, cause now I wish I could play a little ball with him and my friend again.
(edit- I remembered in middle school my gym teacher used to be in the expos system, and he was in the movie mr. 3000 and was one of the pitchers

my cousin was drafted by the reds in the late 80's and tore his rotator cuff in spring training after that.. my pitching coach and personal family friend Mike Sirotka was traded for David Wells and due to shoulder problems has not pitched since. Another family friend Brad Blumenstock has been tossed around the minors.. ws in the A's system for about 5 years but never made the bigs. Corey Bailey is a family friend.. he pitched on boston,KC, and the cardinals and is currently in Taiwan..My Grandad was 16 and played on the SF Seals Pacific Coast League championship team back in 1946 and i have seen the WS ring from that too.... he as well as his son(my uncle) were drafted by the cardinals... but because of my grandad being drafted to Korea for the war and my uncle deciding to start a family instead they never made it to the bigs.and last but not least sombody that i have met and hung out with before is Nationals OF Ryan Church.. his cousin and my brother are Roommates in college.

Jay Gibbons- Next door neighbor. He just bought a house in Scottsdale, AZ though, but his dad still lives next door to me. Pretty cool.
Josh Childress- Went to my high school about four years ago. I went to a lot of the games and almost set up an interview with him for the school paper.
I know a few others, but I can't think. Another neighbor of mine played for the Brooklyn Dodgers with Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese.

I played for the Texas Rangers for 15 years, but I had my career cut short because of injuries accrued from rounding the bases so often.

Well I don't really know players but I have met a ton.
My father is a big wig in the urban clothing world and back in the day athletes used to stop by the office very often. I once had a nice coversation with Kenny Lofton when I was younger

I know:
Trevor Miller- from Louisville, KY he has pitched for the Astros, Blue Jays, Devil Rays, Reds and some other teams... his dad worked with my grandpa at the post office so we got to play golf with him and his dad :)
Steve Stemle- from New Albany, IN he graduated from my HS a few years ago and he is a pitcher for the Memphis Redbirds (AAA of the Cardinals)
Chris Burke- Don't really know him but one of my friends does he is a top prospect in the Astros farm system.
Brandon Larson- He is with the Louisville Bats (AAA of the Reds) a lot and his name is exactly the same as mine except his last name is Larson where mine is Lawson and I have went down before games and talked with him a little and I told him that our names were almost exact and he said it was pretty cool and stuff.
My friend also coached Scott Rolen when he was on a high school all star team in Indiana.
