Peterson should win it, but he's a freshman.
Then there's Jason White, but I think some will vote for Leinart just because White shouldn't win twice. When you think of a player so good to win the Heisman twice, should the name Jason White come to mind? Definitely not.
That said, Leinart.

Adrian Peterson for sure. Being a freshman will hurt but there was no better RB. OU wouldn't be where they are without him.

No better RB? That is bullshit. Adrian was, AT BEST, the 4th best RB in the nation. He just had hype cause he was a freshman. As a Cal fan, I have to bring up Rodgers, but only if he has a great game against Southern Miss. Arrington should be in New York. He had the highest average yards per carry of any college RB who gained over 1000 yards.

Leinert should and will win it, he is nasty, and is a WHOLE HELL OF ALOT BETTER than Palmer was.
Without him, I don't think USC would be going to the Orange Bowl.
That said...Bryan Randall is one of the most underrated QB's in the NCAA

Leinart, hands down. My reasoning has been explained in other posts. :)

Guys, I love Peterson, and think he is going to even be a lot better than he already is, which is saying something. But, he doesn't deserve the Heisman. They have a great passing game that teams must respect, or White will have a huge day.
Right now, I'm not sure who I would vote for, though it would probably be between Matt Leinart, Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers, JJ Arrington, or Cedric Benson. But I really don't know who I'd pick.
The winner will likely be Matt Leinart.
