It depends what they yell. But for the most part they shouldn't be yelling at the players, coachs and refs etc.

It depends. I think they should be allowed to vent frustration and tell the guy he sucks or whatever, but I do not feel they have the right to yell personal or racial things at a player. If it is something that you would not someone on their butt for saying then you should not be saying it either.

yes, they should be able to tell the players what ever they want to, it's part of life and the players (except for Ron Artest) should be able to deal with it.

Yes yell what you want, BUT, if a player comes after you be ready to back yourself up then because it would be you provoking.

well, I think they should, but some of it can get out of hand, like at a brewers game cubs fans were yelling about how fat wes helms was, I just thought that was kinda bad. if there gonna yell at them for something, they should yell at how bad there doing or something, but calling players fat is kinda stupid

Yeah, fans can say whatever they want. Players need to ignore them and keep their cool. Some stuff is just not nice though.

So, what some of you guys are saying is that it is alright for a fan to drop the N-bomb on a guy like Artest and not expect him to come into the stands to knock your teeth in?

You must be very brave or stupid to try to provoke 6-8 245 pound monsters...
How much do you expect players to take? Yes fans will yell, but keep in mind that that is private property, and they don't exactly have all the freedom of speech rights. You could yell, but you have to keep it orderly, same with cops and soldiers. You could yell at them, but expect them to come at you.

perfect example is the guy interviewed on sportscenter who had season tickets right behind the opposing bench for washington bullets/wizards games. He told opposing players whatever he could that he thought would tick them off. He confronted some of the game's greatest players. He even found something to say to players such as Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley.

Heckling is something most player should take, but it depends what. Racist remarks, and personal remarks are something that should never be said to a player. But saying he sucks, or he can't shoot is something that is usually aloud.
