The Falcons are losing to the Stains by the score of 21-17 with 10:00 left in the fourth quarter. The Stains have the ball too. If the Falcons lose this game I will be so pissed off that it won't even be funny.

Let it be known that Alge Crumpler is the best TE in the NFC. Always comes up with the big catch, and always has a huge game, and is the only one who can catch on the Falcons.
Jimmy Mora said it best when he said: "Mike just wins." *nod*
Also, why does nobody take the Falcons seriously? Their front four is amazing, and they have a guy who nobody can catch. Not to mention the #2 rushing attack in the NFL.
Sidenote: DeAngelo Hall got his first NFL INT today. :)

Statistically they are second in the NFC. And you know what, I think that rank is well-suited. I've no doubt in the world they can beat the Packers (see 2002 NFC Wild Card IN LAMBEAU) and the game that made Michael Vick not a secret anymore (Week 14 2002 vs. Vikings). :D

Why are they statistically second? BECAUSE THE NFC SUCKS GIGANTIC BALLS!! NFL Analasysts were talking about the top teams outside of NE and PITT the other day on espn and who did they select as the best team outside them? Not the Falcons, my boys, The San Diego Chargers(mind you who are in the tough AFC) who now lead the division over the Broncos.

Part of me wants to believe that the Falcons are legit, but another part of me just cannot look past all of the close calls against mediocre teams and their two losses are against teams that will not be finishing above .500.
You know Nomar the Falcons did beat your Chargers earlier this year.

doublee, they are legit, they have the #1 rushing attack in the NFL (yes a lot of it is from Vick, but Dunn and Truckett have contributed a lot as well), the front four of old that the Falcons had Chuck Smith, Jesse Tuggle, Lester Archambeau and Travis Hall is back again this year with Rod Coleman, Patrick Kerney, Brady Smith, and Edward Jasper, who have a combined 23 sacks and 8 forced fumbles. They have arguably the best TE in the NFC in Alge Crumpler. Not to mention, the X-Factor come playoff time in Michael Vick.
All I'm saying is you gotta believe they are for real. :P
The secondary still needs a lot of work, though.

They can compete with the Steelers and Eagles, no doubt. The only team that scares me is New England because they have the ability to shut down usually astounding QBs and make them look bad (see Peyton Manning last year). The Eagles won't scare me until they can get past the NFC Title game. Sorry. ;)

Pittsburgh would tear Atlanta a new a$$hole. Simply put, Pitts defense is better then the Falcons.. and their offense is better as well although it may not be as big a gap as the betterness of the defense.

Uh, they have better linebackers and secondary... actually, I'm not so sure about their secondary with Chad Scott on IR. They do have Hines Ward and Thug Burress, but Roethlisberger averages only about 20 pass attempts a game. Staley and Bettis are good, but need I remind you the Falcons have the #2 rush defense in the NFL? ;)
Both teams have excellent special teams, but if there is one thing the Falcons have on Pittsburgh, it's their front four, trust me.

Why because they drop the hammer on a crap team that has a terrible track record playing outside of dome stadiums and on grass? Beat the Eagles next weekend then we will talk about the Pack being a legit contender.

The fact that they are even handing the ball off at all is surprising. Jackson gets the bulk of the carries because he's better than Faulk, who is past his glory days, in my opinion.
