Wow this team makes me so mad!!!!!!!! We have some miserable years in the 90's get a good draft pick get KMART. THEN WHAT DO WE DO TRADE HIM FOR 3 PROTECTED DRAFT PICKS. We then have a good run at 2 Finals and 3 Atlantic Divs. However we are here now with no Kmart, Kittles, Rogers, and Lucious some of our leading scorers for this run. NOW WE FLAT OUT SUCK. We are 3-11 and in last in the Atlantic. What makes everything so much better is that KRITIC AND PLANICIC GET HURT TONIGHT! They go and join Mr. Kidd and Mercer out. So lets take a look at our linup

C: Alonzo
Pf: Jason Collins
Sf: Eric Williams
Sg: Jefferson
Pg: Best

That was tonights linup lets see we got 2 people not in there normal positions! Who's in college this year thats a good SG cause thats what we need. *Ends Rant* *banghead* *violent* *pissedoff

It is not that I don't like the linup it is that Jefferson is a SF and Collins a C. Who heard of a 7 ft. powerforward besides TD. Also, We get shut out EVERY game I cant stand it, im so glad I ditched my season tix I would prob. shoot myself watching them, but I think Im going to the game on Monday. *stupid*

instead of season tickets do what i do. get floor seats to 1 game a year when the nets play a good team. then you at least get to see a good team, and you get really good seats. i did that for the games when the cavs and the nuggets played in nj last year cuz i wanted to see lebron and melo

Well my seats were sorta like that every game well we part shared the tix but it was 7 row center where the Nets come out. :)

Yikes, not too good, but I'm ahppy about the Nets sucking as a Sixers fan. :)

Rashad McCants might be available for the Nets, if he comes out after this year.

I would see them trading Jason Kidd, it would be for the best. It saves them money which is somehting Ratner is trying to do, and give them cap flexitbitly if they chose that. They could get picks as well.

Rumor is they may be interested in moving Kidd for Abdur-Rahim and Sebastain Telfair. Kidd will in all likelihood get moved by the end of the season. Rumor has it Kidd may actually suit up and play this weekend. I read a report where he has been cleared to practice.

Watching Kidd play won't make much of a difference, with almost no supporting cast other than Jefferson, they aren't a contender. Also Kidd would want out, having a star demanding out isn't going to help with the chemistry. My guess is that Rahim would be the player they would target, a expiring contract, and Telfair could be the point guard of the future.

Who's in college this year thats a good SG cause thats what we need.
I believe Rashad McCants is coming out from North Carolina. He could fit in with Jefferson being good in the open court, as well being a solid shooter. His size may be a concern at a small 6-4 size, but should be avalibel for the Nets. JR Giddens is an athletic freak who would fit well with Kidd being able to jump out of the gym and run well. Julius Hogdes is an interesting player as well, capable of playing 3 different positions and is a good leader. He would fit well with Kidd as well, good rebounder and passer, but can't be the greatest decision maker.

Fransisco Garcia of Louisville is up there too. When he is healthy he can be a pretty dominant scorer the only problem is, like Julius Hodge, he is very skinny. Hodge may slip in the draft because of his lack of bulk and a major league jumper. McCants is such a fruit loop that he could be a bit of a risk mentally. Right now it does not look as though there are a lot of quality options at SG for next summer. Next year's draft looks to be stacked at PG more than anything else with guys like Felton, Paul, Jarret Jack, and Mustafa Shakur possibly being available.

A lot of the shooting guards do have there cons, but I'm sure having a creator at shooting guard would help them rather than having another defensive athlete. However Hodges is a tough player with long arms and good athletism. He is a good rebounder, and he would be the ying of Jeffersons Yang, or vice versa. McCants could improve his stock by having a good season in college, he is still a coachable player though.

Point guard could be a position they would need, and anyone of Shakur, Felton, or Paul would be good for the Nets. All are close to true point guards and solid defensively. Roko-Leni Ukic is also a sleeper point guard, real quick and tall for point guard at 6-5. Compared to Tony Parker with the same quickness, but is also skinny.

Will McCants be a top 4 pick? Cause thats where the nets will be.

I love Julius Hodge as a player. He has a solid perimeter game, is tough as nails, a better than average defender, and is good at creating his own shot. The one thing that will win him bonus points next summer though is he is a high quality character guy and is very grounded. He came back for his senior year, has never been in trouble, and he even does Public Service Ads for local youth programs in the area.

I doubt McCants will be rated that high due to his lack of height and character issues. Right now Chad Ford's top five are:

Chris Paul - PG
Chris Taft - PF
Marvin Williams - F
Rudy Gay - SF
Martynas Andriuskevicius - C/F

McCants can greatly improve his stock if he can lead his team to the Final Four, or prove to be the leader. As for Hodges, I see him as a Jalen Rose type of a player except with possibly better defense.

As for point guards, I would say John Gilchrist is a great point guard prospect. Good size at 6-3 and 200 pounds, and good quickness and athletism. Physically, he has everything that going his way, but he makes bad decisions(1.6 to 1 assist to turnover ratio) and is lazy on defense(getting torched by 30 from Chris Paul in 30 minutes). If he could improve those two areas, he could end up better than Paul.

What happened Nemanja Aleksandrov? As a 6-11 small foward he has everything, long arms, good athletism, runs like a guard and has a nice post moves. Offensively, he has all the skills for a small foward with a jump hook that most small fowards are too small to guard, and is to quick for power foward. He is lateraly quick for defense and has long arms. He reminds me of a small foward KG or a Gasol with much more athletism. He is also a humble player, and very very high basketball IQ. I thought he would be in the top 5 for sure.
