What is with the hype of Carmelo and why is his game actually getting worse? Everytime I see him play, he reminds me of Glenn Robinson. The guy just looking to pass. His assist to turnover ration is 1 to 1. His shot has gotten worse, with 39 percent shooting compared to last years 42. His three point shot isn't good either, with 29 percent. With the talent on his team, I don't think there is a reason for them to struggle so much. With Camby, K-Mart, and Miller being average in the halfcourt, you would think they would run more. In the halfcourt, he goes one on one way to much.
Defensively, he isn't a gem either. He gets no blocks and one measly steal, and he shows no passion for defense. He is usually the last one on defense, which is sad. He is a tremendous talent but he needs to get more mature.

Sophomore slump. Almost everyone gets it. Noticed I said almost so don't jump on me.

Yes there is a Sophmore slump, but his overall game isn't much better. He hasn't improved much. He is still a turnover machine, and weak passer. His defense hasn't improved, and he is killing the team concept of running. His maturity hasn't improved either.

Well the coaching staff and teammates need to help him with all that.

well lebron has really proven himself IMO, he is definitely gonna be a superstar but his counterpart carmelo probably won't, he really isnt that athletic, he doesnt run or hustle much, he cant shoot too much, i have never seen him throw down, he does resemble glenn robinson very much

Out of James, Wade, and him, he is easily the worst. He might rebound next year and have a good season, but he will never be as good as the other two are. Right now, the other two are major parts of good teams. Right now Carmelo isn't a big part of a bad team that was supposed to be good. Things aren't looking to bright for him right now.

What seperates James and Wade from Carmelo is superior athletism, and defense. Carmelo's body resembles Robinson, so does his stats. Not a great defender or passer, likes isolation and dribbling, and isn't athletic. The only positive he has is that he is still young and could improve, but right now he isn't mature enough to do that.

it is still early in the season, he will get better as the season grows, I am not a fan of him one bit, but I am sure he will play stronger. and glenn robinson was awesome with the bucks lol.

carmelo is a solid player, he just needs a little time to get out of the slump he is in. he has shown bright points, he just needs to become more consistant

Statwise, he is in a slump, but is more than just that. Some plays, he seems to be very immature, such as pouting when he doesn't get the ball, or not hustling back on defense. His passing and defense need a make over also.
