wilt, 50 ppg in one season, it will never happen again. jordan did one season average 37, but still. plus wilt was way better rebounder, and shot blocker

Michael Jordan. He lead his team to championships and was a great player. No one can deny the facts it has to be him.

Magic, Jordan, Big O(no credit), Kobe. Yeah, I said Kobe. He is still young and a great player. Name one thing he doesn't do as well as Jordan.

There have been many great players over the years, larry byrd, michael jordan, leBron James (big now will only get bigger), Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robinson, Bill Russel, Magic Johnson, Shaq, the works, but in my opinion I have to say the best was Bill Russel.
Russel may not have had the best statistics but he was an amazing team playing, on the court and in the locker room. All my bases belong to billy boy

Ehh its Jordan or Scalabrine. Ehh I'll go MJ cause he led his team to greatness while umm Brian led the Nets to a uh NBA finals but he is also a great motivation on the bench. ;)

Scalabrine better become the best player ever. :P
I really don't know who is the greatest ever, for some reason, I never jumped on the Jordan/Bulls bandwagon. I don't hate him, I know he was one of the best but I just never liked the guy. I think him, Wilt, Bird, Oscar and Russell were the best 5, I can't decide just 1.

Play defense as well. Hit the clutch shot. Make his teammates better. In time he may be as good as Jordan, but not yet.

Kobe Bryant has played great defense, been selected 1st team All Defense Team, blocks shots, steals, and could guard all three positions. As for making players better, Jordan averaged 5 assists a game, Kobe averaged 4, but has been consistently average 5-6 and this year 7 assists. Jordan may do those two better, but Kobe is getting up there. As for hitting clutch shots, look up it up. Kobe hit 2 buzzer beaters in the last game against the Blazers, hit one in the Piston-Lakers finals series, hit a couple in the regular season as well. Not to mention him taking games over, such as the series against the Spurs a couple of years ago. He answers big shots as well, in the Indiana Pacer's final series he owned after Shaq fouled out.
Kobe is not better than Jordan right now, or, IMO, ever, but he will be the closest. Good passing, good scoring, great defense, etc. His team isn't special, but dynasty isn't built in a day.

Kobe Bryant is the somewhat lesser version of michael Jordan. Nobody will ever have a game as complete as that of Jordan.
One of the Best Defenseive player
One of the Best shoote ever, possibly the best jumper ever
One of the best Dunkers of all time, probably the best.
He can drive in as well as anybody, he can get rebounds, pass the ball and is THE SINGLE MOST CLUTCH PLAYER EVER TO PLAY ANY SPORTS.
Jordan is the best player ever, by far.

Exactly, however Kobe is the closest to Jordan, arguably the clutchest in the league right now. Selected to First Team All Defensive Team numerous times, one of the better shooters, solid passer and rebounder. The only problem is that Kobe's shot selection is questionable. I see Kobe as more of a point guard version of Jordan, he has more handles and drives better than Jordan, but doesn't have the post game Jordan has.
I would also like to say Bill Russel should get some aknowledgement as the best. Great rebounder and shot blocker in the game. 8 Championships, crazy talent and work ethic.
