The Bobcats traded 2 picks for the Lakers Kareem Rush(from Missouri). For an expansion team hes a pretty good asset, young, has talent, but on the Lakers I doubt he woulda gotten a shot to prove it unless someone got hurt badly.

Nice pickup on Charlotte's part. He could challenge Kapono to start.

Very nice pick up for the Bobcats! Rush is soon to be a very good player and will get his shot and giving what he's got in Charolette.

rush is the most talented player now on the bobcats excluding Okafor, if those are 2 first round picks then that is a horrible trade cuz charlotte will definitely have a top 5 pick next draft

no they wont
with rush giving them a shooter and i have a feeling there are more moves to be mad im looking for charlotte to move up to like the 9-10 spot at the lowest.. i have a feeling with rush shooting and okafor/bogans getting time this team is on the rise and in my opinion will be a very good young team for years to come once certain guys develop

Good trade there.

Dangit now I want to redo my Bobcats dynasty instead of doing the Bucks dynasty I have going now

I'm so pissed. Lakers really f'ed up. I love Rush. For two piece of crap, worthless second round picks! Rush was one of my favorite players, I started collecting him before I stopped. Good thing I didn't collect a lot of him.

Oh yeah. I heard they did it because they wanted to open up a spot for Malone to come back. How gay!

There is more than just trading Rush, he wasn't fitting in the Lakers lineup and was often injuried. The Lakers are getting Malone back, I guess, and wanted Brown still on the team. The Bobcats 2nd round pick would be most likely high, and the Lakers could trade up if they chose.

As for Rush, he is a good defender and shooter, but horrendous dribbler. Him and Wallace dribbling would be pretty ugly to watch.

I love this trade for my Bobcats, who I chose to stick with from the time I heard of their expansion. Kareem Rush should be something special in the future.

rush looks like a solid player who could really help out the bobcats franchise. good trade for them

This trade shows that the Bobcats (who play in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina) are definitely in tune with building a team for the future and are willing to lose a lot now, but win a lot in the near future. Rush will give the Bobcats that shooting guard they so desperately need.

Just to clarify the trade, Charlotte Bobbcats traded second-round picks for 2005 and 2008 to the Lakers for Rush.

To make room for Rush, the Bobcats waived guard Eddie House. I was surprised to see this as House brought leadership and experience to the team. I am sorry to see him go.

Kareem is a good player but didn't really fit in to our (Lakers) team. There is rumors saying Malone is coming back so they needed to make room for him anyway. Personally being a Lakers fan, I feel the deal was probably good for them, they will get 2 draft picks in the future which is always nice, you never know someone could come out of nowhere and be one of the sleepers and become a great player.

Good thing they didn't trade Brian Cook :) or I would have been pissed since he is one of my fav's

I really thunk that rush will be the next, well how do i out this, welll he I think will score around 20 a game in a few years or now, hey you never know!

googd deal for them, rush is a solid player

I don't think Rush has to potential to score 20 points a game, his shooting is streaky. His dribbling will always be ugly, and he won't create off those weak handles. However, I think he could be a 15 point scorer and a solid second or third option.

As for Malone, I know hear that he is NOT coming back, which is very confusing. Tony Bobbit was signed to replace Rush, which isn't smart either. I love Bobbit's shooting, athletism, and heart. He would be a better fit but you could package Rush to get more.
