The Marlins were able to pretty much cover up the void in their bullpen left by Armando Benitez after he signed earlier this offseason with the San Francisco Giants.

They acquired long-time veteran closer Todd Jones, who made a name for himself with the Detroit Tigers way back when, and Antonio Alfonseca, who spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Cubs in 2003 and the Atlanta Braves just last season.

I don't think two crappy relievers are going to cover a void left by a guy who had a great year.

A few bytes over the limit

It's not over the limit. It's at 21 bytes, while the limit is 25. :)

209.22 KB (214246 bytes)

That's what it shows when I go into the properties.

Todd Jones is totally washed up but Alfonseca is decent at best.
Those 2 in no way can completely replace Benitez.

and now watch for the return of Billy Koch and Tanyon Sturtze to be the next pair of washed up arms they sign... this is a horrible thing for the fish.. what are they doing.. and why arent they just letting a healty spooneybarger and maybe Justin Wayne pitch all year for them this year.....
