Neagle was a solid pitcher for several years before he got hurt or something.
Anway, Pavano has always had the potential and finally managed to get healthy but there are 2 questions. Can he stay healthy and can he pitch well enough to get the Yanks some wins? Obviously the offense will help but I still don't think it's enough.

The Yankees need SP because half the games they play vs the Red Sox are in Fenway Park which throughout all of the major league hsitory has always been a hitters park (for ex: in 1975 or something like that A little SS Bucky dent you had 4 homers the whole season hit a homer which ended up to be major at FENWAY)...The Yankees offense can lead them vs any other team but Red Sox have excellent pitching so that is what the Yanks need to control Red Sox Offense so that is why the Yankees need to go out there and have Steinbrener make all these good SP become seel outs...so pavano will be good and the yankees will do good under him (even though the yankees can kiss my a**..hehe)

I highly doubt youll get Beltran or Delgado. Delgado looks like hes gunna be in Seattle, and Beltran is most likely going to stay in Houston. Cashman needs to realize that your salary doesnt buy you the World Series.. you need a team not a bunch of mes(jeter and others).

A team is not a players team. A team is every single one of the 25 players and all the coaches. If Jeter was a true team player and its his "team" then he would do whats best for his team, and making arod go to third was NOT best for the team.

I dont care what Arod said. Jeter should have offered it to Arod because hes better then jeter at short. If he wants to win so bad, hed do whats better for the TEAM and not himself. If I was Jeter I would have definitley gave Arod short and switched to third to not only better the team, but make it easier for Arod to make the transition between teams.

Jeter shouldnt have to lose any confidence, its called being a leader. And you shave hit and win.. obviously not because did the yankees win. uhm.. no. Lets see here.. weigh out the options.. jeter at third and arod at short and make the team better or make arod move to third and jeter stay at short and then end up losing in the playoffs.. who know what would have happened if arod was at short. I am willing to state my opinion of I think the Yankees would have faired a lot better off without arod anyways and went after pitching(which they DESPERATELY need).

Ok... Listen up.. I have been the Leader/Captain of my baseball team every year since i started playing. and i was voted this honor every year by the players/coaches. Nomarfan is right. Derek Jeter should have stepped down and let arod play SS i thought this since the got arod. But the one piece of credit i give derek jeter is he is the only man on the yankees team nuts enough or dumb enough to dive head first into the stands to get a baseball. But if you remember correctly the Yankees blew a 3-0 lead to the Boston Red Sox. Now here is how they are very much different. The Boston Red Sox who i am a fan of even though they are my #2 team and the cards my #1, They look like a bunch of BUMS. The yankees on the other hand look like a baseball team. But they can look all they want and make as much money as they want but they did not win. Where was your loving leader Derek Jeter when you guys lost your 3-0 team to quite possibly the best red sox team ever. I mean you have a 300 mil payroll and you cant win a game... you lose 4 straight to a team that had a guy having surgery before every start. The Difference between our Varitek and your Jeter, is We won. Jeter was all about this is MY team. Which is why HE decided not to sign Pedro Martinez this off season... they need pitching horribly bad and the captain who is supposed to whats best for the team first makes arod move to 3rd, didnt LEAD his team to victory, and then declines to sign one of the best pitchers in baseball... What a leader huh? 1)Well Wells...hes not as good as he use to be...Now that we got Pavano Idc anymore about him.Hes a traitor and we should all boo him when he comes to Yankee Stadium :)
2)People for some odd ball reason forget the Redsox spend a lot of $ to.Not as much as the Yankees but they still spend a lot.
3)Last Year the Redsox we're better,but of all time(if thats what you mean)we're[The Yankees]the best of all time.
