The contract is said to be for three years and $17 million. By far, the cheapest player signed so far-- :P . His other choices were reportedly Minnesota and Seattle. However, his agent said going to Seattle would be a longshot.

My immediate thoughts are that the Jays will trade Hinske. They have no room for him with the nice addition of Koskie.

i dont know what this does to Eric Hinske... but this gives toronto a great 3B and i think TOR has completly used the FA to their advantage.. i am impressed with TOR
