Small Signings: Jose Hernadez and Royce Clayton

Jose Hernadez signed with the tribe for 1 year for 1.8 mil to take over as the util man and help out at ss. Royce Clayton signed with the Dbacks to a 1 year deal with the contract not said.

I hope the D-Backs aren't expecting the numbers Clayton put up in Coors. He's been a fair hitter in his career but had a career year last year with the Rockies but he'll go back to being fair at best for Arizona. Hernandez is a good pickup for the Tribe. He strikes out a lot but is a solid hitter with good power. Could probably hit 20+ homers if he was given the starting job.

The reason AZ signed Clayton is his D. Not his bat. Which is a good thing. Because he'll probably hit .240 with 10 homers. But, he should really help Brandon Webb (GB Pitcher) than anything else.
