Not that I am that big of a fan of the NFL Pro Bowl but year after year there are some players who get Snubed out of the big game in Hawaii. Last year it was LT who deserved to go and this year it was another San Diego Charger Donnie Edwards (MLB). Edwards has 144 takles second to none other than Ray Lewis. Also Edwards was snubed out by Willie McGineist of the Patriots who isnt even in the top 30 in takles and is only 20th in sacks with 8.5. This exactlly the reason why I dont watch the Pro Bowl becasue of the people who get to vote on this stuff.

The majority of the people just vote for people they are familiar with. Take Eric Johnson for example... no one knows who he is really but he's the best TE in the league right now. Yet he didn't get into the Pro Bowl. *mad*

It's part of the fans fault. The fans are the iggest voters.

Eric Johnson hasn't been the best TE in the league this year. That honor belongs to, oh, what's his face with 13 touchdowns on the Chargers. ;)

I think that's like Eric Moulds or something. I don't know. lol

The biggest snub was probably..... Randy Moss. I don't care if he was out for part of the season. He was 5th in TD receptions. Also Reggie Wayne. Just becuase he plays with Marvin Harrison doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it. He worked just as hard and is 6th in TD receptions.

Did anyone other than me notice how the AFC has all white QB's and the NFC has all black QB's?

Randy Moss doesn't deserve it. At least, not over Muhsin Muhammed, Joe Horn, Terrell Owens, and Javon Walker.

Did I miss something? Overall stat-wise he's the best TE in the league. Ok... Maybe second to Gates, but he's in a whole different conference. Same with Gonzalez. Johnson is without a doubt THE best TE in the NFC and he didn't get in. How is that biased?

Yeah right, Ken Dilger is the best tight end in the NFC. Ha, he wishes, me too though. Eric Johnson wins he is the best in the NFC.

This is all a popularity contest.

Let the coaches and players vote!

LJ Smith, Jason Witten, Alge Crumpler, Jeremy Shockey, Jermaine Wiggins, and Bubba Franks all have more TD receptions. Maybe that's why. Alge Crumpler and Jason Witten deserve it most because Witten has the best numbers for tight ends in the NFC and Crumpler is 2nd to Johnson in yards (774-797) and receptions. Crumpler and Witten do deserve it.

About Randy Moss, how doesn't he deserve it. If he wouldn't have gotten hurt, he would have like 20 TD's right now. Think about it. And, most likely, his team woulod have clinched a playoff birth by now.

Well your just gonna have to deal with it. Because the Pro Bowl is nothing BUT a popularity contest. You should be aware of this.

No, sorry. Alge Crumpler and Jason Witten are both better than Eric Johnson, both stat and talent-wise. Do you really expect Johnson to keep this up next year?

I did read them.. you said hes the best TE.. maybe in the NFC, but not the NFL. Gates is the best TE in the NFL hands down.. not even Tony G is as good as Gates. Id argue athleticism of Gates being the best as well. Sure Vick is super fast and agile.. but he doesnt have that much body size and other things. Gates has an athletic body, he has pretty nice speed for his size, agile.. all that stuff it takes. I mean, before playing in the NFL he hadnt played football since being on a high school field. He pretty much single handedly took Kent State all that way in the NCAA tourny. Hes got what it takes to be one of the greatest of all time, and I think he could be at the end of his career. I mean hes played a whole two years and already broke the TE record for TD's, and hes only getting better.

Uh, no. Tony Gonzalez and Todd Heap are both better than Antonio Gates. He's just having a helluva year.

By the way, Vick was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2000 Amateur Draft. ;)

Did you see him get by Walter Jones a couple of times last Sunday in the first half? In the second half, however, Jones adjusted and Berry didn't get by.

Player No Yds Avg Long TD
Eric Johnson 79 797 10.1 25 2
Tony Gonzalez 88 1114 12.7 32 7

about the argument of gates versus gonzalez, you cant say that gates is a better tight end after having one god season. gonzalez has consitently the best tight end in the nfl since the glory days of shannon sharpe. gates is a good rising talent, yet he is not proven to be a consistent threat. he may become a great player a few years down the line, but he cant be considered the best yet.

Ok, I give up. Every single player on the 49ers sucks now and will NEVER be good, even if they have the best stats. It's impossible to be anywhere near good when you're a 49er.

Bye.
