View Full Version : Darren Woodson announces retirement

Dallas Cowboys great Darren Woodson announced today that he will retire at the end of the season bringing an end to his 13 year career, all with the Cowboys. In his 13 year career, he totaled 800 tackles, 11 sacks and 23 interceptions along with 2 defensive TD's. His career also included 3 rings from Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII and XXX.

Btw, in case anyone wonders if this is for real or not, I just saw an ESPN press conference with Woodson so it's real. I know there have been a few stories posted that turned out to be rumors or not true.

He was a great safety, but very underrated. It's like nobody cared about him. Probably the only Cowboy I like.

This is going to hurt the Cowboys. He was the undisputed leader of that Cowboys defense, but now he's gone, so who is going to step up?

He was a great safety, but very underrated. It's like nobody cared about him. Probably the only Cowboy I like.

He was always one of my favorite Cowboys on all the Madden games I've played. :D When he retired in my Madden 2002 game I was disappointed.
