i hope it does well for the sake of opening up more options for console gaming. i dont think it will do astonishingly well, but maybe pretty good. how is the ps2s online gaming going so far?

if i had broadband, and was willing to go online with any of my systems, as of right now i would pick...
my PS2, given that is of right now, so ya never know.

Personally I believe that it is a very well thought out plan ... but unfortunately it doesn't look too good for it in the future. Right now, a mere 10% of North Americans use broadband, that means 90% of north americans use dial-up.
Now we can narrow this number even lower and say that about 3 - 4% of them have an x-box (which is pretty high), inturn causing Microsoft's live network to never really take off. You can't only cater to 10% of the entire population of internet users in Nortyh America ... that's simply RETARDED!!!

Sony and Nintendo's plan really are the best in the end though, they provide the dial-up and dsl modems, and the developer's take care of the rest ... simple as that.
