just wondering who actually goes to nhl games, obviously when they are being played and not during the lockout.
my aunt has season tickets to the rangers and my uncle to the islands so i usually go to about 10 games a season with each, and then my aunt usually takes me to one game for each round of the playoffs the devils make it to. how bout you guys?

I would love to go to games but never have the money to go. I watch like every single Avs gaem on TV unless i go to it :) I will probably go to alot more games once they start again since I got a job now and dont have to ask my parents for money.

also, whats the best game you have ever been to?
mine was being able to go to game 7 of the '03 finals. i still have the ticket stub on my wall. watching the devils win the cup was great. i cried when they brought it out on the ice. and i thought it was great how everyone, well most people, were able to applaud giguere when he got the conn smythe even though brodeur deserved it

Ive been to a ton of Blues games with my dad. I went to a Missouri River Otters game which is minor league hockey I guess? The best one I been to was the River Otters game because there was like 8 fights lol. It was sweet.

My favorite game ever was game 2 of last years playoffs, Philadephia vs. Toronto. I've never heard any one arena that loud in my life, and we chanted curse words at the Toronto fans after the game(in groups of 40 or so).
Best game of my life.

The Manitoba Moose is as far as I go. I've been to 3 Wings' games though. :)
I've been to 2 Blackhawks games, even though I'm not really into hockey. I went to a game in 1993 against Montreal that they won 1-0, and a game in 1996 against Anaheim, which ended in a 1-1 tie.

I've been to 1 game. Free tickets too.
I'm hoping to catch a few once the Coyotes start playing in their new arena again.

The first game I ever went to was Islanders/Sabres in like '97. And I went to 3 Devils games about 4 years ago.

hmm... If my memory serves me right, I believe the '03 finals went 4 games b/c the Ducks were swept ???
Anyways, I've only got to go to one NHL Game, in '02 at Nashville. I went to the Music City Bowl then after that to the Predators vs Senators game. The usher guys were real nice and actually walked up to me during the pre-game warm-ups and said if you want, you can go down by the ice and watch them warm up so they were very friendly and I got to see Daniel Alfredson and Zdeno Chara (6'9'' tallest player in the NHL) literally 2 feet from me so it was a fun game. I want to go back but Nashville is like 3 hours from here so that kinda sux plus the strike...
I've been to probably 20 minor league hockey games which when we got the AHL it was so awesome but since its gay here, they can't keep a damn team they all end up folding because I'm the only hockey fan in this entire city ;) Really, no one likes hockey here at all, in fact most actually hate it and they are retards *nod*

I've heard people actually like the Chicago Wolves minor league team more than the Blackhawks *lol*

That's because, unlike the Blackhawks, the Wolves are actually good, even if they are a minor league team. :)
And the '03 Finals went 7 games.

I am a season ticket holder for the ECHL Wheeling Nailers.
They are ok to watch, but they are the affiliates with the Pens, so as soon as someone is doing well, they yank them up and they replace him with some scrub. No team unity because the players are rarely on the team for more than 3 weeks.

I go whenever my dad gets tickets, but thats usually 1-2 a year. Damn caps traded jagr, my favorite player. The good thing is he went to rangers, my whole families overall favorite team(dad is from new york). Problem is, i don't live in new york to see the games. Like all the games we go to are when the rangers play the caps.

I live in wisconsin so it is a long long drive to minnesota, I would love to go there to see a wild game but my dad wouldnt go for it. since we have no NHL team, I go to alot of milwaukee admiral games for the AHL. Those would be just as fun as NHL I would think.

Yeah, hockey games are really fun to go and watch, but its really boring on TV. Alot of people probably think "this sucks on TV why would it be good at the place" so many people don't think to come so they lose sales, ect. when the people are missing out on a fun time.

hockey is great, i love attending the games. I'm a huge Pittsburgh sports fan and i must say, going to a Penguins game is far more exciting than seeing a Steelers game. Pirates have a nice park, but not much excitement.

My family has season tickets to the Sharks. We end up selling about 20-25 of the games though,

It took baseball about 4-5 years to recover from it's strike, I wonder how long it'll take Hockey to if it ever does.

The NHL has never recovered from the strike of '94. Besides that, Gary Bettman ruined the NHL in Canada, opting over cities like Winnipeg and Quebec City, with Edmonton and Calgary soon to be gone next, and instead, putting teams in North Carolina and Florida. *rollyeyes
By the way, this year it isn't a strike, it's a lockout, they are two seperate things.
