A 40 yarder in the rain on a muddy field is no chip shot. Sure, he should have made it, but Schottenheimer did him no favors.

Needless to say, that was one of the worst penalties ever.

There were actually about 4 of the dumbest penalties I've ever seen in that game. The too many players on the field penalty, the offsides penalty on the punt and probably number one would be the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Schottenheimer.

They showed us a nice stat at halftime, Pennington's QB rating throwing <10 yards, 10-15 yards, 15-20 and 20+.

It went from 90, to 100, to 49 to 122, tops in the league.

I'm not saying he's bad or his arm is bad when he is healthy. But he is not heathly and its obvious. I dont need to see some stat that is a reflection of what he did when he was healthy, I saw him tonight and he had nothing on his throws.

i disagree with you totally. chad looked better than he has. he did not show any signs of injury in the deep td throw to moss or really any point after that.

Now that I think of it I can not even be mad at Barton. If it was not for him we would not be here. He was our Leading tackler on D and came up with some big plays this year.

No he didn't. His footwork was improved, but he had nothing on his throws. Madden even talked about it a few times, saying he was just floating it up there. I think the lack of strength put on the deep ball to Moss showed what I am talking about..No of this matter because the Jets will get smoked next week.
