As a Laker fan, I would have to go with Kobe Bryant. His mental toughness is top, from the trial to media bashing, to rowdy fans, he still plays great. Remember the Colorado in the morning, basketball by night games? Crazy. Also, this is a guy who plays with injuries. In the Spurs playoff games in 2003 played with a bad shoulder that needed surgery right after the series. Started playing a month before he was supposed to last year, and this year is playing with a foot injury that doesn't go away fast.

Allen Iverson. Taeks a bigger beating than anyone, especially for his size.

Currently? Iverson and Steve Nash.
90's? Barkley and Oakley.

Except for Iverson, they rest were way off. Nash isn't even close to tough, doesn't diminish his talent but this guy doesn't throw his body around, or take punishment. There are so many more tougher players. As for Barkley, give me Jordan, Payton, or Malone over him anyday.

Ron Artest doesnt really take much of a beating but he is very tough and aggressive, he was always near the top in steals until a certain event occured

How is Rodman tough? He gets thrown around like a rag doll in the post, or in fights. His crazyness doesn't make him tough at all.

He did a great job on SHAQ when the Bulls played Orlando...if u remember the game he kept SHAQ out of the paint. He did a good job playing against Karl Malone in the 97 and 98 series. His antics got on my nerves as it did various NBA players. He was a great rebounder and a defensive player until he got older and legs were gone. True...he was the best FLOP guy in the 90's lol if u think he was seriously getting thrown around by any1.

Rodman's defensive technique on Shaq is similar to Vlade's. Flop and fall, cause Shaq to get mad. Dennis was the same with every player, which made him a successful defender.

Against bigger guys YES...remember when guarded Jordan? Rodman had excellent footwork and with the Bulls he was a killer on rebounds. Guys like this do the dirty work=tough.
