The city of Anaheim was denied, by the courts, an order to halt the name change of the Angels. Didn't see this posted, so I figured I would throw it out there.

What was stupid? Anaheim trying to get the name changed back?

Court = stupid. I dont know why they need to have of los angeles after angels. Sounds so stupid. Its not going to create more revenue either because who wants to answer "whos that on your hat(shirt, jersey, etc)?" with "the anaheim angels of los angeles"

Don't even joke about such things. It should be nothig but the plain old Ballpark at Arlington. I hate that they changed the name. I hate it when parks or stadiums have corporate entities in then for that matter.

The exception, "Busch Stadium" after the brewing co. or "Wrigley Field" after the gum co.

The only stadiums (I can think of) that are functioning now, that don't have sponsors, are:

Fenway Park
Yankee Stadium
Pro Player Stadium
Wrigley Field (Named after the man, not the company)
The Coliseum
Dodger Stadium
Georgia Dome

Any others, oops, and this just shows that history doesn't mean anything anymore

The man started the company, and technically Busch Stadium (the current one) is named after Augustus Busch. That is why the full name is Busch Memorial Stadium.
