Batista signs 2-year, $15M deal with the Fukuoka Hawks. Talk about the Benjamins, that's a lot of money for a player of his caliber.

Jap playing isnt as hard as here, its more equivellant to the Minors, as crappy Hideki Suckssui proved.

I didn't know a 30+ HR, 100+ RBI season was considered bad now AA.
I wonder if Batista is just doing it for the money or what. He is still a good MLB hitter and I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard for him to find a job over here.

Well, he was overrated, they expected him to be doing twice as good, since thats how he did in Japan.
