Wow, nice deal for cinci. Ex all star Rich Aurilla signed a minor league contract with the Reds with a invitation to spring training.

He only had 1 bad year. He was one of the top hitting SS in the NL every year he was with the Giants. I guess he just couldn't adjust to the AL. He is now back in the NL and I hope that helps him regain his Giants form.

He is still an alright player. Cincy needs stuff like that to rebuild themselves.. oh yeah, and word has it, Griffey is near 100% FINALLY WOO!!

Yeah I heard Dunn on the radio a few days ago and he said from everyone he has heard from in the FO, that Griff will be 100% by ST. I really hope they'll move him to RF and play Kearns/Pena in CF. Anyway, as for Aurilla, I like the signing. It's a low risk/potential high reward, which are my favorite. But I think the Reds young SS, Felipe Lopez, may still end up the starter unless Aurilla has a stellar spring.

Last year they werent for sure or not, but Griffey said he felt good so they gave him a shot. This year they are for sure, and I hope he does well because I happen to like Griffey.

Aurillia had that one breakout season where he hit 36 Home Runs I think, I'm guessing he took steroids that year.
