The "50Cent" Game [Archive]

Will not "destroy" any competition whats so ever (what exactly is its competition, Grand Theft Auto?). But dumbasses will still buy it whether it is good or bad so I hope it comes out for the GCN, it will help its image and sales.

I really don't think this game will be any good though. I just can't take a rapper who comes out of nowhere and says "I'm out to destroy the competition, and my game will do the same" seriously, especially if he's not destroying competition in the rap world, the main part of his career. I can name ALOT of rappers better the 50Cent. But that's just my opinion.

Some random millionaire black dude with no singing ability is the perfect person to make a game out of! Ooh! They could add stolen/outdated gameplay to it and screw with the physics, and it'll sell like hotcakes!

^I didn't say the Snoop Dogg game was bad, I read up on it and it actually sounds decent. It won't "destroy the competition", but it doesn't seem like it will be THAT bad.

I might not like Fi'ty Cent's artistic leanings, but I can't condemn the game until I've at LEAST seen it.

The screens Electrezz put up look pretty decent.

You know we as die-hard Nintendo fans take a lot of crap in this indurstry. From mainstream media, websites, gaming magazines, and rabib sony and microsoft fanboys(girls). And we ask the question why? Why do they hate us. But so many of my fellow Big N fans are so quick to spit hate on a rapper (who might be a gaming fan himself) just cuz he's coming out with his own game. And because he's either A) a rapper B) he's rich or C) he's black, you already choose to hate the game.
Why?

A) I like rap, and I think 50Cent is ok, definetly not all that, but for someone who has never done a video game before to come out of no where and say "I'm going to destroy the competition" is stupid IMO. If they release a GTA 5 at the same time, do you really think he's going to destroy it?

B) I have nothing against rich people, I'm pretty financially fit myself (not rich, but somewhat wealthy).

C) I'm black too, and anyone who doesn't play a game just because the person who is featured in it is black, then they are stupid as well.

Graphically the game looks good, I won't lie there, but I need to actually see some more before I believe it will be what he says it will be.

I see your point Synergy. It's just funny to see gamers condemn and prejudge a game when they've never even played it. Yeah, 50 is cocky about it, but he still has the right to try. If you had the resources wouldn't you?

I'm not dissing it cause 50 cent is black, or cause he's rich, or cause he's a rapper.

This game is just another attempt to cash in on someone famous. Some idiot is going to waltz into Gamestop and see the cover and sey "OOOOOO... 50 CENT GAME! THIS MUST ROCK!" and it could be the biggest peice of shit since the ET game... but they'll have fun cause they're playing as 50 cent.

Every video game is trying to cash in. From Mario to Master Chief. That's how the industry operates, everybody knows this. I just don't see why people can't wait for a review or to actually test the game themselves before completely judging it. If anybody cares to read up on 50 they would learn that he loves playing video games. He wanted to be a part of GTA:SA but they rejected him. So he just said, f&@# it I'll make my own video game!

+ repIf you tried to rep him I'm sorry to say that it probably did not work or had any effect since there is a limit of 200 posts or something before you can use the rep system, also I don't think you got any rep power yet - rep power increases, according to Viper, by:

Registration, for every 100 days, you increase power by 1.
Post count, for every 500 posts, you increase power by 1.
Reputation, for every 50 rep points, you increase power by 1.

Don't worry though, I took my time to rep him for you, lol. :)

Anyway, back on topic, I think people have easy to say that a game is sucky if it's based on movies, music etc. because those games have a bad reputation for getting sucky 90% of the time, however, there is still 10% that turn good more or less, Goldeneye for the N64 is a fine example.
