I was watchin the news yesterday, and some news related to GTA: SA came on. Supposedly the police were tryin to interrogoate a kid about something. During the interrogation, the kid grabbed the police officer's gun, and shot him in the head, then shot another police officers head. Supposedly the kid acted an identical scene within the GTA:: SA game.

Sounds like bullshit to me but if it is true then they just found the quickest, easiest thing to blame (Video Games) and went with it.

They never caught the Zodiac (they caught a copycat but not the real one) so you never know, maybe he lives next door to YOU!!

This story just seems a lil too much to believe, not calling you a liar Outlaw.

Parents need to be more aware so their children wouldn't have acess to these types of games.

Yeah, odd how these stories always involve a kid below the age on the game's rating. Really odd...

My opininon is that if a kid is messed up enough to go do something like this then it was inevitable, it was just that this game may have triggered it. Of course, as Mirai said, most of the kids are underage and shouldnt be playing it, but i really dont think that games have any influence on children at all (not to this extent anyway)

A. The video game is being used as a scapegoat... again

B. The kid is fucked up in the head if he was able to do that at all

C. What kind of dumbass cop would allow a kid to reach up and grab his gun.

I mean it's not like some TV/movie writer would've EVER thought up that scenario. We all know that video games are the pinnacle of realistic violence, while movies like Saw get off scot free.

Points de Colin

-With that mindset, I can think of 5 movies off the top of my head that should be banned. Oh wait, the movie industry has power in Washington! oops!
-There is no scene like that in GTA:SA
-$20 says a lawyer came up with that kid's excuse.
-Go R*

1 a kid like that shouldn't be playing video games he should be in a mental hospital
2 it's the parents fault. nowadays people try to get all psychological and try to find out what is "realy" wrong with people. it all comes from just wanting to blame something or someone else. everyone wants to do it. i say quite trying to pass the blame on other peopel and just let each person get what he asked for through his actions. in this case. kill the kid. guarntee that the next kid with think twice before trying to do something that stupid knowing that he can get off scot free. especially now that we can't kill kids via capital punishment per the court ruling. HOW STUPID!!!

What happens when a retarded kid with terrible parents plays an unneededly violent viedo game? Things like this. Everyone's trying to play the blame game, but it's really all 3. If the kid had any sense, he wouldn't have done this. If his parents hadn't sucked at parenting, he would know morals and wouldn't do this. If he never played viedo games/watched movies that taught him that it's OK/good to do things like this, he wouldn't do this.

There is no such scene in any GTA game, no scene that resembles that, and I'm almost positive it's not in any other video game.
