Well, this game comes out monday, and it still doesn't have a thread. Thought I better get one started.

In Yoshi's Touch and Go, players must guide Yoshi and Baby Mario home safely. Each level starts out with Baby Mario falling from the sky, ala the Balloon Trip demo at E3 2004. You must draw clouds on the screen to guide baby Mario to coins, and around enemies. You can also trap enemies in a bubble of clouds and throw he bubble to Mario for more coins.

Once landed, baby Mario meets up with Yoshi, who moves forward on his own, taking Mario through the level. Again, you draw clouds to take Yoshi over gaps, around enemies, etc. You can also blow into the mic to remove all curently draw clouds from the screen, grab enemies with Yoshi's tongue to collect eggs, spit eggs at foes or coins, and make Yoshi jump and hover.

I can't wait for this game to come out. It will probably also come out in May in Australia as well so I am going to have to wait. Very nice box art makes my think about Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

^ Yeah, I'm not so sure about this title either. I was wondering about tthis game since I had little information on it, so thanks for that. It sounds pretty fun, but Nintendo needs to make more use of the 3D ability of the DS. Too many 2D games are coming out and the casual gamers will take this as a kiddy gameboy system....atleast this game is bound to be fun, like most mario platformer titles.

But it's not a Mario platformer. It's a Yoshi puzle/platformer. I was a little skeptical about this game, but after hearing more about it, I think it looks really good. Sadly the casuals will be like "oMg teh babys wtfomglolrtflstfulmaoafkbrbjkbbq!!!1.

Whats it like? Is it annoying how you cant move Yoshi yourself, or does that fit in the the game?

I've got it, and it's great.

To answer your question, it does take some getting used to having very little control over Yoshi. But you get used to it, since that's how the game was meant to be played. Imagine playing a game where you were, say, on White House security detail, and had to protect the president. It's kind of like that, you don't control one person, they move independently, but you have to "suggest" where they go to, and help protect them against terrorists/democrats/baddies.

i got it.... its kinda fun. I dont really like the fact that its like an arcade game, meaning there are no save points, but you can start at a midpoint, which is when yoshi gets mario.

This game REALLY is great, but DON'T be decived. It IS an arcade game, meaning the only thing you are working for is a high score. In my opinion this is great, because it lends itelf to infinate re-playabilty.

But, in one of Shoe's table of contents miniature editorials a few monthes ago, he said thet in their reviews, their comments are much more important than their numbers, and they actually said a lot of good things about it. I'm surprised it got that low.

so like, is there as many levels in this as there is in Yoshi's Island (for SNES/GBA)? If there is then this is a definate, if theres a huge amount less then ill have to check it out.

I finally got it! It's really great, and I luffs me the Balloon Trip music! I need to learn how to play it on the Vibes. If I can't find it on the interweb, I'll just transcribe it myself.

My sort of review:

The other music is a bit iffy, but no one cares about that. It's really frustrating at times, but that's what makes a good arcade game! Like for example, I had 2900 yards in Marathon, and all of a sudden 3 Lakitus poped out of the wall, and I was out of eggs. I lost, just one football field from the goal. The multiplayer is a tad simplistic, but it's not so simple that it isn't fun. The fact that you can't control Yoshi isn't really as much of a problem as it seems. With all of the other stuff you have to do, you'll be glad you don't have to control him! It's disapointing though that you can't eat enemies and you drop Baby Mario just by running into one little Shy Guy. Yoshi got all wussy, but that doesn't keep it from being a great game. 8.5 out of 10.

thecube_128: There's sort of like one level, but it's really, really long. It's kind of split into smaller, 1000 yard levels, and I doubt I'll get far enough to see how many levels there are. It's plenty long, so don't worry about it.

I heard this game has some sort of detector built into it that detects anyone in range that can use PictoChat and shows an icon in the corner of the screen. Is this ture and for those who have seen it, what does it looks like?

that's no good. I must admit, the game is harder than it seems. you should have just kept trying for a while. (and don't forget to switch the game to lefty mode if you're left handed. some moron on gamefaqs got the crap flamed out of him because he said he hated the game because his left hand blocked a bunch of he screen)

I've played the game, with a friend on multiplayer. It was actually really fun! I was worried about myself getting bored of it to fast, so I decided to save my money for Animal Crossing, cant wait for online.

Marathon mode is the best, the challenge mode is also cool to. You gotta rescue luigi. Yoshi travels the fastest on the clouds, but I just found a way to make Yoshi run anytime you want him to

how do you make yoshi run :O

put some fruit in a bubble and put it in front of yoshi but not to close to where he can eat it. you have to place it in the right spot. He will start to run after, just maintain your postion and viola. Whe nan enemy pops up, justlet the fruit go kill them and grab the bubble before it goes off the screen

Multiplayer is fun, your opponent is on the top screen and your on the bottom. You can see how far they are to the goal and how far your away as well. Its tricky and stuff cuz your tryin to do anything to get to the end and at the same time your tryin to dodge the green spikey things
