Probably a dumb question but does the DS have an earphone jack for earphones?
Thanks

I think it even got for both ordinary and GBA:SP headphones, I don't got the DS myself yet though so I can't say for sure.

Yep, it has a headphone jack and it sounds great through it. I usually use the headphones, doesn't the DS have surround sound? The surround sounds great with headphones on. But I still have to try using the SP headphones and the jack on the DS.
You know, I thought I had seen somewhere that the DS had surround sound and took it to heart (we even took it to my friend's house and tried to hook it up to his system... it actually seemed like it was working), but when I look around now, I can only (http://hardware.gamespot.com/Nintendo-DS-11722-S-4-6) find (http://computershopper.com.com/Nintendo_DS/4507-6464_7-30895578.html) stuff (http://shopper.cnet.com/Nintendo_DS/4014-6464_9-30895578.html?rvwtp=4507-6464_9-30895578&cip=1&orderby=90&sort=) that says stereo (http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Nintendo_DS).
Even if it's only stereo though, it really does sound incredible on headphones.
I never owned a GBA... is there anything "special" about those GBA headphones aside from their proprietary connector? (i.e. is there any reason to get a pair of those instead of using standard headphones?)
Aaaand, has anyone tried hooking up both types of headphones simultaneously? I wonder where the audio goes.

I don't think the audio will go out throught the charging jack on DS like it does on the GBA

I don't think the audio will go out throught the charging jack on DS like it does on the GBAOn the DS you can plug in the GBA SP headphone adapter or you can plug in your headphones in the built in 1/8" headphone jack right next to the GBA slot.

Actually, the DS is simulated suround......but truely can only claim to be stereo. Just thougt I clarify that.
This sound is different than the GBA because on it you had to use headphones to get the stereo. On the DS it actually always come in stereo with simulated surround. Which is why I like to listen to it without the headphones too.
