When I first heard of Emerald Verison for Pokemon I thought I wasn't going to buy it. I figured it would just be another yellow or crystal version, but as it turns out, they've added a whole lot more in this game. There are more badges and a tournament in Seattle to boot. By the way, has anyone been to the Emerald website? There's some sorta quiz you can take after you register, and if you make it in the top 8 of your region, you get a trip to the tournament.

So if you're a fan of the series, do you think you'll pick up Emerald?

I've considered it. Maybe I just might when I have the time.

I'll be picking up Emerald, when I get a DS to play it on and when I get the money to buy it.

I'm a fan of the Pokemon series, but sadly I don't think I'll be picking it up. Although it appears this game has pretty much improved on most of the problems in R/S, I have very little money, and Emerald is not at the top of my list of game I want.

Maybe. I'll see if I have any spare money.

I saw that competition on the official website. I would still not enter (why don't they have it in Aus:(). I am not really interested in Emerald as yet but if it offers a lot of new content then I may consider buying it.

I can't wait to see what Pearl/Diamond look like on DS.

I'm not interested in Emerald, though, in the least bit.

I still play it because it brings back memories of my first gameboy. I stayed up christmas night getting to vermillion city and getting the thunderbadge. I know there's room for tons of innovation, but I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what nintendo does with the franchise. The new pokemon rpg set for gamecube sounds more promising than colliseum, which was a big dissapointment.

As for freshness, it seems that gamers are very hard to please. If too many changes are made to a game in a series, dissapointment may (and usually) follow. One game that is brought to mind that didn't change much in it's first titles was megaman. With the exception of new characters and a handfull of new (but similar) abilites, each installment was very similar to it's predecessor, not to mention the final fight with wiley at the end (I wonder which kind of skeleton-esque machine he'll use this time?) Of course these are the early megaman games and since then has expanded into a variety of different games. Perhaps the same is occuring with pokemon. Anyway, don't think about it too much, we play games to have fun right? Whatever floats your boat.

Get a life man. Seriously, your 18. Go outside and try and make some friends. Your talking about Pokemon... If I were you I would kill myself. This truly is sad, join the local YMCA, get some excersice, stop playing the dang Pokemon. It's old. Stop.

Why should he stop playing Pokémon? Because it's old? You could say the same about any worthwhile series. Mario? Zelda? Final Fantasy? Grand Theft Auto maybe?

And there's nothing kiddy about the Pokémon games. Sure, they went and made all that merchandise that all those 7 year olds bought, but people of any age can enjoy Pokémon games. Sadly, people with 2 digit ages can't really enjoy a challenge out of the games, but they're still fun. Maybe Pearl and Diamond will be harder.

False, your wrong. Stop lying to yourself. Pokemon is catching monsters in balls. Awesome. Quit trying to defend this guy because you sucked his dick last night. Your losing, I'm winning. It's over.

Um yeah....that was sorta random.

I have to agree with what phoenix said. What you said about pokemon could be said about any game. So are you just anti-pokemon, anti-video games, or just ignorant. I could explain to you that I have plenty of friends, and that I'm not one of those over-excessive internet users that write anime fanfics, but why bother? You'll just continue your verbal assaults on me, which would fail due to the fact that:

A: You're doing it online, so any insult is like, ineffective

B: I don't know you. You haven't said anything useful to the topic of discussion or anything that doesn't make you sound dumb. Why should I ever listen to you or what you say?

But it doesn't matter what I say though, you'll continue to do whatever you want. It's just too bad I don't care......

It's over.I've heard a similar rebutal from a fellow high school freshman. You haven't proven a single point except that you don't like Pokémon, and you even played the "call the other guy gay" card. If you're 20, your parents must have done a really crappy job. I feel sorry for them.

But now that n00b got exterminated!

Yeah, he comes to this forum and flames its members. I say somebody ban him.

Who cares if he likes Pokemon. Its a videogame. Just because he plays the game doesn't mean that he collects the cards or is the "number 1 Pokemon fan" like many of them claim to be.

Flamer.
