E-mpire is currently looking for a News Team for the Literature forum.

Requirements: A love and understanding of books, some history and well known and some unkown authors.

Responsibily: Search the net for literature news and bring it here. You can copy and paste (leave a source and URL if you do) or completely re-write it yourself (leave a source after the report). You may also write book reviews but you must express that they are your sole opinion.

This is not a full time staff position and does not guarantee a spot on a staff if we launch a literature site though it does put you in the spotlight. This is merely a chance to be a small part of the E-mpire and help out your fellow members by bringing them the latest and giving them something to talk about.

Qualified candidates simply need to reply here and access to the new News Crews board will be granted.

Sure as hell couldn't hurt. I read a lot and I write books myself, so I have a good insider's viewpoint.

Hmmm, might be helpful. Is it copywritten material that we might need permission to use? Even if so, it's worth a look into if we do a Lit site. Thanks.

Nope, all free from wikipedia for everyone's use.

I am using historical content on http://www.historyfocal.com from wikipedia. :)

i was thinking more of posting passages from good books, etc... there isnt really a lot of "news" so to speak, to post, unless you want the NY times best seller list...

I read a lot of books and could probably do a thread where I give short reviews on books, new and old.

That was what I was hoping to see.

Maybe I can convince a e-friend of mine to join, she loves to read books and to write.

I ask her next time she's on.
