Microsoft showed some mercy by dropping the $500,000 fine that Blaster worm creator Jeffrey Lee Parson received. Instead the teen while have to do 225 hours of community service in addition to 1.5 years in prison and an earlier order to perform 100 hours of community service. He will also be placed under supervision for three years.

Even though he did not really create the blaster worm. He basically edited the original blaster, and released a slightly modified variant. The original blaster infected about 9.5 million computers, his variant only infected about 50K.
Now lets do the math...
225 hours = $500,000
500,000/225 = 2222.22
I wish my time was worth over $2000 an hour. How do I get a job that pays that well?
