*BUMP*

DAMN! That movie was tight. Kick ass adult entertainment right there. Not for soft hearted. Blood, guts galore and more. The acting was kick ass. At first it didn't seem like it but further into the movie you start seeing it. Rosario Dawson is a major hotty. Damn all the females in the movie was hot. The japanese chick kicked ass over and over again. Again, not for the soft hearted. Frodo (elijah) was fuckin weird. Jessica Alba....ohhh baby. She got the moves! Movie was like 3 hours long though. Kick ass and has good humor. Oh yea, lovely nude scenes and tastefully done battles with ofcourse, excessive violence. Doesn't get stale. Though the story takes some time to get use to cuz I got thrown off my the ending, since I missed like the first 3-5 mins of the movie But it still kicked ass. I give it 10/10. 2 thumbs up.

I've seen the trailer and it looks sorta like black and white, is it like that in the movie?

Rabunis

the movie is in black and white and shows only key colors. its like watching a really well produced dark and gritty comic book. go see it. NOW!

I saw this movie last night and I must say it may just dethrone Kill Bill vol 1 as my favorite lone movie. (Vol 2 wasn't as good) All the actors were perfect especially in the second to last story. Some of the violence is just so unusual and unpredictable you can't help but laugh but at the same time it isn't cheesy. This is my favorite line in the movie: "You did make one mistake. You forgot to flush."

It's made to be a comic book put to life. Which is exactly what it is. Everything you see in the movie happened in a comic book or was written originally for a comic book.

Joker, Kill Bill Vol 2 was just as good as part one. You just liked all the damn killing. Vol 2 was much more deeper and had a richer storyline.

Volume 2 was better.

They were both good IMO, but I would have loved to have seen something between Pai Mei and Bill

Spatula

kill bill was separated into two volumes because when one was made it was too long. so they were separated from each other.

its best to watch them both as one movie.

what quentin terintino (spelling errors galore) did in the series that made it so good (putting the violence and b-rate storyline aside) was he made the movie like the old samurai movies, he directed it like you would an old samurai movie, and he incorporated many styles of the old samurai movies that i grew up on and loved.

unfortunately, many of the people in my generation have NOT seen those old movies, and the kill bill volumes gave them a glimpse at what it would be like.

i see kill bill as more of a side project that quentin always wanted to do rather than i see it as a hardcore, full on thought processed movie like pulp fiction.

fortunately, the guy is a genius and the movies kicked hardcore ass in every area.

Why is everyone refering this movie to a comic book? Sin City is the comic book

Spatula
04-11-2005, 03:31 AM
because the movie was a comic book first, so they refer it to the comic book.

its not going to be exactly the comic book, but its going to be referred to it because its pretty damn close.

It's not that I hated Volume 2 or antyhing I just think it was very anti-climatic compared to the first one, if anything I would've switched them around so that the first one could establish the plot and get you interested in what was going to happen then I would've had the bloodshed.

So am I the ony person that thought the movie wasn't as great I expected?

I liked the style a lot. The cinematography is great. I loved all the stars in it. It was nice to see typical Quentin style movie. But it just didn't do much for me as a whole.

I can see where this would be great as a comic- but it didn't do anything for me as a movie. I didn't really see the point to the movie. There was no real resolution or conflice for that matter. The 3 stories were so loosely related that it sucked. A better tie in between the 3 stories would have been a good thing to make the transition between a comic and a movie much better.

Don't know- I felt like I wasted my money.

I think the element of distaste in the movie must be THE VIEWER HERSELF! Every sane male in the world will like the sweet action and sheer awsomeness of this film. Whereas the analitical female will survey the situation more. Us guys are just like "holy shit this movie is fuckin leet!!!" the whole way through. Or maybe not... My useless 2 cents. Discuss

GeekyGmrChic

That is the biggest piece of shit thought I've ever heard. It has nothing to do with being a female- especially since this is my kind of movie. Unlike what you might think I enjoy a damn good blood and guts type action movie. But perhaps what ruined it for me, was the fact that stupid people hyped it up so much and then I was disappointed because it wasn't so great.

I'm trying not to be so offended by you're reply because there are many things that I could have and didn't because I am more mature than to belittle someone because of their thoughts, feelings or tastes.
