You know I just realized that in speaking about the "Hollywood" chip Iwata said Hollywood is the capital of movie entertainment. Perhaps the Revolution will play DVD movies? Personally, I don't need it, but I think Nintnendo does if they want to compete.

I dunno if it will play DVD movies, but I'm quite sure Nintendo will make it possible for Revolution owners to watch their Anime productions on their future consoles, they are not only a game company anymore, but also a movie company...

Btw, great link HereticPB!

I believe the "Hollywood" name is really appropriate for their graphic chipset. If this is really a revolution they'll probably do something that the graphics will really affect atmosphere never really felt. With a game like Zelda we can truly be link! Culturally they make movies sympathetic. Or it could be just really good graphics.......

Now Broadway... Live entertainment... The first thing that comes up in my head when I expect things in the game to to actually be done live instead of seeing something recorded or gaming-wise, 'programmed', is online gaming. The only games that perfectly match that than just simply being online are Neverwinter Nights, Guild Wars, or a popular MMORPG like World of Warcraft. Or it could be that we finally have online... At least for me because I wasn't able to experience it during the NES days in Japan.

Reading that restored my faith. It also got me angry again that people would actually once consider Nintendo "not for hardcore gamers".

+Rep for the find.

I think I remember posting a news article about the Revolution using the same devloping software as the GameCubes....so that it would be easier to develop for........you could add that in if you could find it (I believe their was a quote....not sure)

Good find. Some great quotes that we can use for reference later on to see if Nintendo actually do as they once said.

Kickass job, Heretic.

Just to add, there was a quote that Satoru said that after the Rev. dev. kits were shipped out, third parties were happy with the system and said it was easy to program (or something to that effect).
