Why the gap between the two 'Primes'? Don't they use exactly the same engine?

I think Vietiful Joe should have been like 6th or 7th place

Wait, why did Metroid Prime beat Metroid Prime 2? MP2 has way more special effect and such then MP. And why isn't Luigi's Mansion on this list? I thought it had good graphics.

And I'm also guessing they are not considering Zelda yet huh?

They said in the article that MP2 was behind MP1 because of Dark Aether alone; everything there looked the same, and it was very uninspired.

But overall it is an acurate list... I think I'd swich MP and RE4 though.

Baten Kaitos should have been up there.

I would switch RE4 and MP as well. They also (correctly too) weren't going by sheer polygon count and extreme effects - but on the art style and direction the game takes. I loev Baten Kaitos, and it is a very pretty game, but the lack of close ups kills it on my list of best graphics.

I prefer Metroid Prime's art direction to Echoes. Otherwise Echoes has a much more refined and slightly more detailed engine when compared to the original.

I don't know about MP and MP2. I can see what they are getting at but I don't totally agree. I think that F-Zero GX did a great job considering how fast the game runs.

Prince of Persia SoT shouldn't be anywhere near that list. It was a really great game, but it's graphics weren't jaw dropping.

I agree concerning Prince of Persia. It didn't wow me, and I have the Xbox version.

I think RE4 deserves 1st and MP2: Echoes 2nd.

WTF? That's a shitty list.

Where is Super Smash Brothers Melee?

PoP shouldn't be up there.

MP was awesome but part 2 should be right next to it. Baten should be up there. Infact, RE0 should be up there. Next to RE4 that game had some of the best graphics this generation

Luigi's Mansion wasn't there because while the engine was nice and the animation was fluid, there was little to show this off. At least that's what I think.

I have never played Beyond Good and Evil. Maybe I should, considering all the praise it got. Supposedly, it is like Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem in that it is a great game which did not sell well.

Every time I see Starfox Adventures or the new Starfox Armada, I feel slightly depressed. Oh well...

Beyond good and evil was actually a great game!!

It was a little on the shorter side...but it was very very good..... had alot of variety.

Where is Super Smash Brothers Melee?
Smash Bros was an awesome game and for it's time the graphics were fairly good, but it had been eclipsed many times over since it's launch.

I'm upset about their reasoning behind MP2, they made dark aether that war for a reason, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Super Mario Sunshine should have been on there. Visually, it was gorgeous.

I know. It seems as though there are alot of titles that should have been on this list athat are not there. Metal Gear Solid possibly?

I cant believe pikmin 2 isn't up there. That game had everything, awsome music, great graphics, addicting gameplay that never gets boring (unless you beat everything, but even then you still want more), and so much thought. Shame on you IGN! SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! *spanks*

lol.. I couldnt stand anything about super mario sunshine, including the graphics. and SSB? is that a joke? heh. This is a pretty fair list, exceptmaybe POP.

Peasantlover is right. Why do people keep saying that SSB should be on the list? Sure, the models were good, nothing amazing, but good. All of the titles in that list beat it by a long shot.

I whole-heartedly agree about Super Smash Bros. The game was incredibly varied, and to this day Nintendo has yet to release a game with character models so slick and polished. (except for MP/2)

Mario Sunshine I have half-heartedly dissagree. While it is a great looking game and the water looked real enough to touch... the textures were less than stellar, and overall it simply wasn't as visually creative as many of the games on that list.

It really also depended on the aethestics of the environments. In terms of character models, POP was not that impressive, but the environments were breathtaking, especially when there was a good view of them before a puzzle. I'm just satisfied that these games are still worth being in their respective places.

I do belive SSB:M should be on there for the fact the blazing speed it can move with no sign of a problem what so ever, theres been more then one time me and my freinds paused the game JUST to zoom around at the insane actions we were making. I dont see why POPWW was on there it was pretty but nothing overly greater then lets say MP2.
RE 4 was truely the best looking of them all thought i love MP but RE4 eats it also MP2 does look better then for how much faster and smoother it runs.

I'm glad SFA was mentioned, despite the game not being what a SF game SHOULD be.

SSBM should have been there, I agree as well. The models were among the best Nintendo has put out. Way better than MK: DD

And Sunshine has unmatched water effects, but everything else isn't impressive.

exactly, RE4 should be num.1
