Yeah but like someone on here has mentioned before if the controller has the buttons on a touchscreen it would be hard to know if you were pressing the right ones or not.

well if they can make braile keyboards that change so you can read whats written i imagnie they could do something for a touchpad.
Although personally i don't want my controller to be emitting tons of light.

Yeah I guess thats true, I agree with the light thing I was just thinking that myself
as long as the topic is revolution controllers, while i think we all know that is fake (how many times have we been reminded that Nintendo said NO SECOND SCREEN?), if the Rev. controllers do have gyroscopes, pressure sensors, rechargeable batteries, wireless, temperture-changers, etc., how the fuck are we going to afford them? one controller would cost as much as the console itself.

That is the gheyest thing I've ever seen. In light, I expect the rest of the controller to be pink and purple. Looks like disney.

I am worried about the price of the Revolution anyways, all this talk about concoles being really expensive and games costing more is really worrying me because since I have had my GCN I have bought games like crazy. I think I have over 80 right now and if the games cost more and the system costs more I might not be able to get a Rev when the time comes. Also I might not be able to get the games I want for awhile either which could really be terrible if the Rev is as amazing as people talk. Nintendo has always kept the prices down on their stuff but I dunno how low they can keep it if the prices get too high.

I know there won't be a touchscreen, I only posted the pic to get peoples opinions on the mockup I never said it was real.

That mock-up controller would be horrible to use, you would never be able to feel the buttons, the reason it works with the DS is because you are looking down on the screen most of the time, but having to look down on a console controller while playing would just be stupid. - But thanx for sharing with us anyway HylianKWG. :)
And about those controller batteries someone mentioned, I just can't imagine Nintendo going with recharge-able batteries on such a inovative controller as it's speculated, even with a lithium-ion battery the controller would become the Revolutions answer to the PSP; and that's just not Nintendos style.
I personally think they would go with a bluetooth based wireless power supply which means the controller would use the wireless connection to both receive power and transfer information, it would just be slightly more expensive than the ordinary bluetooth tech found in the wavebird controller, but that is far more affordable than a battery\battery slot.

nintendo always make the best controllers for comfort and ease of use... i doubt everchanging buttons are easy to use and rmember, and i doubt a square panel is comfortable to hold and play with for hours on end, theres also the negative aspect of a controlelr gong throught damage.. as they do... if the screen cracks the whoel thing is down...

That looks bad. It looks like a touchscreen. Even though Nintendo said it wasn't.
It looks like a touchscreen.
That's because it IS a touchscreen.

I'm not sure about the other things not seen in a game controller yet but I would like something that works like a Metroid Prime Hunters control. Then I can just sit back and enjoy games like RTS, FPS, point & click games, etc. Mouse and keyboard requires some underneath surface and are bigger than gamepads. I'd get rid of the d-pad for a touchpad. We can just communicate by voice.
Also why are you guys getting so uppity over the pic? That could have probably been made after when Nintendo said that the DS is something to look forward to on the Revolution but not two screens.

thats an awful mock up, but oh well - we know it'll be nothing like that. Everyone seems to think the controller won't have a touch screen, and it likely won't, but Nintendo never said they're wouldn't be a touch screen, it might not display anything, a touch pad, but there's still a possibility of touch. They simply said it wouldn't be a two screened device akin to the DS. Wireless power supply would kick ass, but I really don't think it's feasible right now - or tons of companies would be banking on it already.

Even though wireless power have mostly just been used in industrial machines up to now does not mean it's less chances for Revolution to make use of it.
I mean, one company always have to be the first to bring a technology to the mass market and it's there I belive Nintendo comes in.
Remember, the Revolution is supposed to be inovative like the DS, that means it's highly likely that we will see several features with it that many of us never could imagine would be used. - And wireless power is in fact not a new technology, it's been around for +7 years by now.

It looks like a kid's toy, what with the primary colors and the simplistic controls and small number of buttons.

C'mon! There's like a 99% chance the controller won't be touchscreen. Revolution will most likely focus on gyro technology as hinted before several times.
