Well, after about 2 years of the same, Retro Studios (http://retrostudios.com/) has finally updated their website, albeit only a very little.
Aside from the new job positions, which have actually been on the site for a few weeks, Retro has updated their Games section to read -
Retro Studios, in collaboration with Nintendo, produced its first Smash Hit with METROID PRIME for the Nintendo GameCube(TM) - released in Fall 2002.
The team went right back to work producing the unique and much anticipated Hit Sequel METROID PRIME 2, ECHOS for the Nintendo GameCube(TM) - released in Fall 2004.
Metroid Prime; Metroid Prime 2, and Retro Studios have won numerous honors.
We are now working hard on a new project that will be announced soon.Yes, I see it, too. Echos? How can Retro mispell the name of a game they spent 2 years working on? Oh, and don't think it's just a typo - they also spell it the exact same way on their Accolades page -
Using the same formula proven so successful in developing Metroid Prime; Retro Studios in collaboration with Nintendo released Metroid Prime 2 Echos in the Fall of 2004.Obviously there is some conspiracy and we've all bought fake "Echoes" versions of the game. This must be a clever marketing strategy by both Nintendo and Retro Studios to be fully realized when they release Metroid Prime 2: Echos for the Revolution, an upgraded port of the second game in a hugely popular and best-selling series now in high definition just like the developers always wanted it.
Anyways, there's also a few more pictures under their Studio section [now with life-size Samus figure--what, you didn't know she was a midget? ;)]
Oh, and I guess that part about a new game to be announced soon was kinda neat.
Hype!
