Out of the 12,000,000 Playstation 2 in US Sony were able to sale about 200,000 units of Network Adapter and They are planning to sell a total of 400,000 units by the end of the year. Right now 43% of the Network Adapter users connect to the Internet with 56K dialup connection, and 57% uses broadband connection.

Microsoft announced they expect to have around 1 million Xbox Live players by the end of 2003, and 10 million by the end of 2005.
Also on November 21, Sega's Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 will be used in the beta test for Xbox in Japan.

Curretly Xbox has 120,000 Live kits sold in US.

Here are some sale numbers on some online games in Japan.
Remember FF XI has been out much long, with larger user base and Sega had to recall their PS0 games because and errors.

Final Fantasy XI - 210,000 units
Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 - 122,000 units

Square's total sales has decreased by 39.1% this year. But some good news for you PS2 fans, Square mentioned they will bring the MMORPG Final Fantasy XI to North America.

Also for those in Japan Square is releasing FFXI expansion disc, Final Fantasy XI: Vision of Girade. It will come out in 2003, price unknown.
