...implement classic Sega backplay before Sony and/or Microsoft take that idea first. I strongly believe so.

What do you think?

I believe they are already in talks with all the major publishers for their past libraries, Sega among them.

I hope they do that. Viper is right, Nintendo is already looking into theese things.

The audience would be a lot bigger.

Sega has a deep respect with Nintendo, it has been their competition in the 90's and it should do both parties good having a back library downloadable for the Rev.

I wasn't a Sega fan when it came to the SNES era.I loved Nintendo so much I didn't even bother play any Sega games. But when Sega launched the Dreamcast I loved the system the games were great. I look back and I wish had played those old Sega classics. I just wish I can make up for that with the Nintendo RevolutiOn. I really want to play Final Fantasy 3(FF5 in jap.) man that brings back memories.

only game i liked that was on a sega system was the sidescrolling one i think on mastersystem where you would sometimes ride a motorbike. well thats what i could remember of the game. i liked games on nintendo systems and that was plenty enough for me so i didnt look into sega. i'm still the same pretty much. i dont bother looking into PS2 and Xbox games because GC has enough stuff to keep me occupied. there arent enough exclusive games that interest me on those systems that would warrant a console purchase.

anyways old games downloadable for rev is great(wondering where are all the PS/Xbox fanboys bashing the idea). the more games the better.

Nintendo should let Capcom bring back the SF franchise to a Nintendo console (Capcom vs SNK didnt do well for the cube)

Remember back then when SF2 became the biggest 3rd party game for the SNES in 1992 and it really sold the system. A really big street fighter game with online capabilities like online tournaments and quest modes would definitely own

They should also let 3rd parties revive classic franchises and have them use next-gen technologies : Double Dragon, Valis, Wanderers from Ys, El Viento, Zonk, Paladius, Parodius, Maniac Mansion... the list goes on and on.

I think we'll see quite a bit of third party support, since it's a relatively free way to earn some money off of games from a decade ago - good deal for everyone involved. I don't know about Sega though, I'm not sure they would put their own games from their own systems there, but you never know, since almost all the Sonics (in fact all of them might be) are available or soon will be on the GameCube. I think Square is a definite, as well as Midway since Mortal Kombat was the shiite back in the day and would likely recieve a hefty number of downloads, i mgiht even pick up UMK3, I really loved that game, even if I still have it for my SNES which is hooked up to my TV alongside my GCN and N64, but I'd be fun to have for Rev if the cost is right.
