Windows XP

A while ago I believe I uninstalled some program and it corrupted a file in my Windows Media Player, and in turn broke it so now it crashes every time I try to open it, and gives me an error message saying "Internal Error detected"

I tried downloading the newer versions but it still gives me the same message.

Also, I can't use system restore because it locks up every time I try to use the feature.

I would wipe my computer clean but I can't find the disks that come with the computer to do that.

Any help on where I should start?

Thanks

Only thing I could suggest for your WMP problem is try using another media player like WinAmp.

Miss one: HP
Miss two: WMP

What did you uninstall? Install WMP 7 - 10 again if you can find the older version that is.

I don't think he has them. HP never gives their customers those disks, although I could be wrong.
