SOCOM: US Navy SEALs coming to PSP

With the new PSP sporting 802.11b support, word around the campfire is that network gaming will be a big push for the upcoming mega-handheld. Hot off the heels of the SOCOM II launch, our deep cover agents are starting to hear rumblings about a PSP version. We don't know yet if it will be a port of the original or a brand new game, but either way it is plenty to get excited about.

Our take: SOCOM is one of Sony's most successful online games, so a version for the PSP is quite enticing. If the PSP has headset support, we can see this really taking off, especially the proliferation of wireless hotspots. Can you imagine walking into a Starbucks, grabbing your coffee, connecting your cell phone headset to the PSP and the firing up SOCOM for a round of Internet gaming? We can.

i remember when a whole bunch of ppl from my school saying that theve seen wot the ps3 looked like because a pic of it was in the official plastation magazine anyway they were talking about the psx but my point is they were all so sure that it was the ps3

Here is my take on magazines:

The info in a magazine would have to be finalized at least a week before being printed. And estimating that printing and shipping could take at least one week. So by the time you get your magazine, the information inside of it is at least 2 weeks old. By that time, whatever real news would have already hit the Internet and been spread like wildfire.

Hooray for SOCOM wat i wanna know is will they use that ol' headset on the psp, unless the PSP has a headphone jack/mic jack (which i think it does) i fail to see how the headset would be of any use.

A week ago my friend tried to convince me that the "PSX" was the next playstation. he also said that no pictures had come out yet. I wanted to kick him in the nuts. oh, and fyi he also wants to buy an n-gage. I feel sorry for people like that. i am also pissed off at them for being to stupid to read and search for things before they go spreading the "news". people like this are the reason that the 5,000 viruses (n-gages) slipped out into the public.

If you know what the N-gage can do you wouldn't say that.
ITS A SYMBIAN PHONE. The 3650, 7650, 6600 haven't sold that much because of it's crappy camera you know. The N-gage on top has stereo sound, MP-3 an Radio. Even more RAM then the 3 of them.
Before saying it's stupid to buy it, you might check the product first.

That would be awesome if SOCOM went to PSP. The only reason I became interested in PSP was when I heard this. I used to play SOCOM online but we moved and broadband wasn't available so I guess SOCOM is my only shot at me getting a PSP.

personally i think the graphics for SOCOM II are not that good. they way they walk is...strange. they walk like they are gay men their buts move side to side their upper torso doesnt move and their legs walk like normal but liek the butt thing is scary

Im gonna wait and see how well they made Socom if they release it on PSP. Hopefully it adresses teh issues that Socum II had.
