When read that John gave out his Socom 2 online name i was wondering if maybe the Ps3 insider community could form their own clan.
It would be a great way to know each other better like that.

If enough people are online and have Socom 1/2.
So, what do ya think?

I think you mean me ;)

I'm not opposed to this. Especially since if you get enough people in your clan (I don't know what the limit is) then you could be assured that someone was online. The only thing I don't like about a clan is that it is hard to keep track of people and get them online for clan battles and what not. Shoot, I haven't been able to add anyone to my buddies list yet because they are never online. Its got its positives and its negatives. I think it could be done, but I don't know if it can be done right.

well this site being almost revolutionary to keep up so well with a console that some still convinced is a myth im sure we can change the number let into a clan. i know that Socom only holds 16 per game but i mean if most of the Reg posters here are decent in shooters that means we can have multiple parts of clans playing in diffrent games at the same time, or practice easy against each other, now this clan is deffintily not something im against. im not talking this all serious no life clan but just something to be a part of and let it be known. 8) like how school has football this site has a shooting clan, plus im sure some us of exceed in diffrent types if shooters. im good in FPS but not quite as good (still not bad) in 3rd person shooters, and with the coming of Darwatch, Black, and especially Killzone, plus GTA has a very good chance of being online and with FF Online (even tho i dont plan im playing it) and the new HDD which Socom 2 will also see more maps and stuff added i see many oppurtunities with this clan.

Sorry Josh

You can have as many people as you want in your clan. But only 16 in a game. The only problem could be that everyone wants to join. But seeing thay alot of people still don't have a network adapter, it will be so in the future.

Who does have a netw. adaptor and either socom 1 or 2 here?

Actually not any more, you can only have 16 members in your clan.

In Socom2 you mean?
Didn't know that yet. Maybe that's even better.
Let's say this, if atleast 16 people vote yes, could you guys really consider it.

Yes, and in socom I they have been talking about enforcing the 16 member rule for quite sometime. I think it would be a great idea to get a clan organized whom comprise ps3insider forum members.

LOL.. The safest thing you can plug into the internet is a ps2... way way way way way way safer than a pc!
No hackers there! no probs with config.. ect... ect...ect... plus a ps2 would only serve to confuse any ppl with bad intentions,, plus the thing would only spit out any F***ed up input, after a reboot at worst, things will be ok.
I can only guess he has no idea what he's doing... And thinks a "game console" isn't powerful enough to repell the attack. The opposite is true.

If the issue is who can be on the internet when.. a router will fix that no prob ($50). They typically support 200+ computers/consoles at the same time, but usually only have 4 sockets, so if you want more than 4.. you need more switches ($30-40).

ARG.. The ascii art function doesn't work that well... but you get the idea
