Now if your a PS2 owner, i know your all pissed that shitty Gamecube gets Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, which looks AWSOME, but could be sooo so much better on the ps2 for graphics and playability.
So lets see Metal Gear Solid (and why not the originals from the 80s? that would be AWSOME... "Metal Gear")
but keep Metal Gear Solid 2, unless theyre willing to change that faggot Raiden... then it deserves a re-release
im sorry, MGS2 made me wanna puke

It wouldn't look better on PlayStation 2 because Gamecube has better graphics capabilities than PlayStation 2, anyway you can play the PlayStation original on your PlayStation 2 which is pretty much the same as Twin Snakes.

What the hell are ya talking about?
The GC doesn't have better graphic capability's, they just render more Polygons p/s, wich ain't the most important and the Ps2 would probabaly beat it.

It depends on if they decide to port it and if they spend the time and money to make a PS2-Optimized graphics engine. (It would be incredibly smart of Konami, if they decided to port it, to use MGS3's graphics engine.)

I would crap my pants if they made a remake of the "Original" Metal Gear. When I was a kid, that game, along with the original Metroid, was like crack candy for me. Snake was the stuff on the NES. If they remade it on PS2 and added all the game play from the new Metal Gears, well, I'd just about be in gamer heaven! :D

true it would be great if they did port it over to ps2, but you know it wouldn't quite be like playing the original metal gear solid on ps1. well that's how i feel personally about it.

why are ther so many idiots in this forum or every forum.lol. Gamecube is more powerful then ps2 so stop being stupid you fanboys. I am not a fanboy I like all 3 consoles. Twin snakes is gonna be really good on gamecube and better then what a remake would have been on the ps2.
hey man you just signed a death warrant with that post. take my advice on it. someone will probably be giving you an explanation about it all soon or they will just cut on you.

HAHAHA
omg Squall
of all the forums ive been to, i have NEVER met such a stupid little pansy assed moron like you
"your a faggot, hohoho" just cuz GameCube does NOT have better graphic capabilities, its controller reminds me of a 2 year old toy (with all them buttons and horrible placement... wheres the car horn?), and "OH im so giddy, cuz i can choose what color my GC comes in !"
how can i be a faggot when your the one who has a GameCube, and i have a Godly PS2? 8)
and im not jus talking about remakes for PS2... im also hoping for a consideration for PS3
oh and one more thing Squall your STUPID NOOB
you NEVER double post on forums... especially when its something dumb like insulting someone
and you say your NOT a fanboy LOL, "gamecube is more powerful than PS2, but i like all 3 systems"
the XBox is more powerful than PS2 AND Gamecube you dumb shit, do you even have all 3? i doubt it you pre-pubescent GC humper.
i know XBox is more powerful, but i like PS2 better for its games, and its amazing online gaming (since GC has none (or no good ones, i never heard of GC online), and you need to pay for XBox live)
so
1 - your a moron and a noob (double posting, and denying your a fanboy)
2 - xbox is more powerful than ps2 and GC
3 - PS2 has sold more units of all the 3 consols worldwide up do today
and 1 more thing
How old are you? and how far is your educatin? (high school... PRESCHOOL?)
i bet that can answer our questions about his intelligence
i have never met a game who says GC is better than ps2 or the xbox (except my 4 year old cousin, who i bought a GC for MYSELF, cuz of the brand of games for the kid) lol
i cant wait to see your next post
$10 says he uses the word "faggot" again... any takers?
and Squall you DUMB FUCK, NEVER Prive Message me again about this
this freak "eat shit and die" PMs me and it gets sent to my email, dont do it again you annoying little fuck, or i swear to god i will hack your email (and then your system)

I declare this topic officially ruined. So much for intelligent debate. I didn't expect the legions of 13-year olds (with their "yo mama" and Mario "Sunshine" jokes) to raid the board until at least a few weeks before the PS3's launch. Apparently, they're getting a head start.)
You have to keep up with them Pumster, they are everywhere these days... Little rascals... :x

I was talking about the original Metal Gear on the original Nintendo back in the mid 80's. Most likely you were not even born yet when I was playing this game, or you were very young. Nothing wrong with that, but it was a long time ago. I kinda feel old thinkin about it. Anyway, the orginal Metal Gear broke serious ground with the whole stealth and hide thing. No had done such a thing. ALl the games were about running forward and shooting non-stop. But Metal Gear, well, that was diffrent in every way. Snake was one the best characters to me on the NES, besides Samus. I would love for them to make a game based off of that game, but like the new ones, like MGS:Solid and Snake Eater. Ah, one can dream....

MGS3 will probably be the closest to the whole Jungle/Base style. (The trailer does say "Back to the Origin," right?) Personally, I loved the original Metal Gear games, even if they were kind of frustrating to control. (I got countless "hang up calls" on that damn radio.) By the way, if you find a ROM for the translated Metal Gear 2 for the MSX-2, download it. (You'll see the infamous Fox Hound symbol in its original, but familiar, form.) I know you guys aren't into emulation and all, but I say make an exception for the MSX-2 version of Metal Gear 2 since it's the actual sequel to the original. (Plus, unlike the PSX or even the N64, the MSX-2 is long dead and can't be found in the US anyway.) Sorry, I'll get back on topic - I can't wait for Snake 8r!!!!111 :D

sorry about the mistake, but from the generall atmosphere of the discussion above, well, I just about thought everybody was below the age of say, 16. Anyway, I agree. BTW, it is MG, not MGS...

I'm 15 and have played MG on the nes when i was 5.
You could call me a early gamer. The game was a milestone in gaming for me. Probably the biggest reason i'm such a fan of the whole series today.

r u sure of that? which one looks better then MGS2 / 3 or TTS?? do u really get excited about 2d backgrounds and low detailed character models.
i mean c'mon, where does snake look better on TTs or SOL?
You can hardly compare the two, Snake looks different on both.

You can hardly compare the two, Snake looks different on both.
i didnt mean look at them agewise, i meant graficwise, according to their respective ages, which looks more realistic? sure Snake in MGS3 does.
matt u got me wrong.

I think we got eachother wrong, but nevermind.....
I admit that Snake looks better in MGS2 and 3, but I think that the GameCube version is trying to stay true with the style of MGS1, whereas the newer games are just a natural graphical development from the original on the PS1.

Anyway avoiding the drama, I think metal gear solid the originals would be sweet to play as a remake.

How many of todays Metal Gear fans have played the earlier versions?
I for one haven't. I have heard loads about them but have never played them - probably never played the console they were on, but as I guide then, I'm imagining the Game Boy Colour MGS in the glorious look of MGS3, eh?
Bring it on!! Remakes! Remakes!! Allow the whole world to relive THE stealth games of all time.

I have played every MG/MGS game avaliable to the American market on NES, SNES, and Playstation/2. I bought my NES when I was like ten. I mowed crap loads of lawns for the console. Metal Gear was one of the best game on that system for me, period. A remake of the original on PS3 would be the best, but I really doubt that is every gonna happen. So sad. :(

Metal Gear has been around for ages, it first appeared on some console, that i can't even remember the name of, and then it was made for the NES.

MSX got the original version of Metal Gear, then it was ported to the NES. Then, MSX-2 came out and Konami developed a sequel for it. However, a separate sequel was developed specifically for the NES by a completely different team. Then, of course, there was the jump to the Playstation, and then all next-gen consoles. (In one form or another. For example, a port of MGS2 for X-Box, a remake of MGS for the GameCube.)

as a nintendo owner, i really never got to play mgs, playing mgs2 at the store for 10 min. doesn't count for me. so i'm really looking forward to the remake and hopefully i'll get some real playtime on mgs2. snake eater looks totally awesome by the way.
