what ps3 add-on/option can you live without??

I REALLY hope this time Sony puts real scart cables in the box, and disables the green image it creates on PS2. + It would be decent to put all the needed audio cables in the box too, after all my PC audio & video cards came with all the needed cables, why shouldn´t a console come with those too?

I don´t really like playing in the internet. I prefer to play games that have rich storylines by myself, or sometimes play games like SSX with my friends while we´re partying. I think the online play could ruin few games, i.e. Resident Evil Outbreak.
+ I think it´s foolish how some people (like few of the writers of Official UK PlayStation 2 Magazine) think that the only way to create something new and exciting nowadays, is to add online play to a game. Haven´t they heard of the word creative imagination before? According to OUKPS2M, Silent Hill series can renew themselves only if online play is added along. I´m glad that Konami proved them wrong when Silent Hill 4 was revealed. Games like Silent Hill would be completely ruined if online play were to be added into them.

cinder i agree with you completely. some games aren't meant to be played online.
ex: DMC

SH series
MGS series
and many other games would be completely ruined if they were to go online.

Hell no stars! I would never choose that over something like firewire support or some garbage connector. Some of my fondest gaming memories come from non other than the "1." It will be severely foolish for them not to try to get ps1 support unless its an absolute impossibility.

I could live without the network adapter too. Online games take an almost an easy way out these days. Time and time again you may see "lack-luster plot is saved by stunning multiplayer battle royal." More so the reason for me to turn to my ps1 games 8) .

I could live without the CD player as well. I think i used it one time on the ps1 and never on the ps2.
